It was nearing 11pm, and someone was still awake. Their hair was brown along with their eyes, except it was a much darker tone of color compared to their hair. This person hummed a lullaby to a child, who was notably missing hair and atop the child's head was text which read out 'hair'. The child also had a triangular nose and mismatched eyes, his skin was a pastel yellow color. He was tucked in neatly and sleeping peacefully as his guardian hummed to him.
Eventually, the adult found that the child has finally fallen asleep, making them let out a sigh of relief before planting a kiss on the child's forehead. "Goodnight, son." The woman smiled down at her son, turning her wheelchair around to leave the bedroom. Before they left though, they quickly looked at their son one more time before closing the door. He pushes his wheelchair through the corridors of his house, passing by the bathroom before making it to his own bedroom.
The woman grabs the doorknob, twisting it before pushing the door open to enter her room. The lights in the room were still turned on and on top of his bed was a man with blonde hair and red round glasses. The man turns to face the woman, holding a book in his hands. "I was wondering when you'd finally come back, Dave." Muko chuckled, Dave follows and moves his body from the wheelchair to the bed. "Did I really take that long?" Dave asked with an amused smile as she watched Muko close the book he was previously reading.
"Maybe!" Muko answered, his eyes looking away, being playful with Dave. The brunette gives Muko a soft, playful nudge in response. "Fucking nerd..." Dave chuckled as he pulls the blanket over himself, watching as Muko placed the book and their glasses on the table next to them. Muko covers himself with the blanket as well, facing Dave as he was slowly closing his eyes. "Hey, Dave..?" Muko spoke up, earning Dave's attention again as he lets out a hum.
"Um... T-Thanks for letting me stay over." Muko said, smiling to his brown-haired friend appreciatively, Dave smiles back in response despite knowing that Muko might not be able to see it. "Anytime, bud." Dave said before eventually letting the subconscious consume her, falling asleep as her eyes close.

Welcome to OTHERWORLD.
Opening his eyes, he finds his vision met with... purple? pink? Whatever, the sky looked very unusual and weird, especially with the stars being shaped like... objects. Objects such as beds, planets, it was strange! Dave sat up, her eyes slowly adjusting to her environment before quickly realizing that she was somewhere unfamiliar.
She stood up and quickly noti- Wait, what...?
Dave looks down and almost screams at the sight of his legs before tumbling backwards and landing on his backside. His skin was as pale as paper and his outlines were blue... purple-ish..? Indigo.
What the hell was going on here?
Dave also noticed their attire, which strangely felt.. comfortable to wear. It was a collared dress, its sleeves were puffed up and the color of the dress was pastel blue and white, with a bow attaching the hip. They were also wearing white, long socks with Mary Jane shoes to top it off. Not only that, his hair was also noticeably a bit longer than how it usually was.
Dave needed a mirror, they needed to see how good they look! Christ, they better look good or at the very least, decent!
Standing up, Dave began her search for anything with a reflection. Wherever this was, it was big and dirty. So dirty that one would say that it smelled awful but strangely enough, Dave doesn't smell anything. They concluded that their nostrils were probably just clogged though. He explored around the place, the purple sky above somewhat providing comfort. Everything here feels like a child's imaginary world, and perhaps it is! But that just scientifically isn't possible... Pushing the 3D Realm aside, of course. What if this was a new realm that Dave somehow ended up in?
The thought of that caused Dave to feel distressed. God, he was basically the personification of bad luck! Dave quickly tried to calm themself down despite how stressed they felt. It'll be okay, just as long as there are no consequences, you'll be fine... Dave thought, trying to reassure herself. taking a few deep breaths before continuing on her adventure through this dump. Goodness, why was this place so unkempt and messy? Dave could tell that their own hands were shaking just from how big of a mess this whole area was. Was this place abandoned, was that why it seemed like no one bothered to care for this place? Oh gosh, Dave hoped that he didn't just end up in some dead person's property.
... They're lost.
"WHERE THE HECK AM I!?" Dave screamed out loud, frustrated with how large and unfamiliar their surroundings are. Dave kicked a nearby can, opened and now no longer in use. The can clunk with a broken and shattered mirror, catching Dave's attention. She runs over to it. Despite the mirror being a bit unreliable, Dave could still see what he looks like. His hair had grown just a little bit, but only reaching his chin. It was also blue and sparkled like stars would in the night. A forget-me-not appeared next to her bangs, adorning right above her left ear. Was this... Was he even looking at himself anymore?
He looked really cute and pretty, don't get him wrong. But it doesn't even feel like they're looking at a reflection of themself, but rather someone else. Dave could feel her head begin to ache at the sight of her own reflection. This doesn't feel right... Sure, he knew that he would look at least a little different when crossing a different dimension, it was basically what happened when he accidentally trespassed in the 3D Realm. But this.. feels too big of a change, Dave has difficulty adjusting. They don't even realize that they were beginning to hyperventilate, and as they are, their environment suddenly began to change along with their emotions.
Dave tried to calm down, but seeing the environment around them suddenly changing to a slightly darker tone, it only worsened their stress. Calm down, it's going to be okay... Dave thought, trying to reassure herself that everything is fine, that there's sure to be a reasonable explanation for why she suddenly looks different, why everything looks different.
...
Oh, who was he kidding? There's no possible reasonable explanation for this! What if they were stuck in someone else's body? Oh god, did that mean that this person was also in hers!? Wait, what if she died and she's now living as a ghost in the afterlife? How did they even die!? Dave wiped away the tears he didn't even realize were flowing down his face until now. Everything around them was shifting.. just like the 3D Realm would whenever Dave would accidentally transport themself there. Everything felt like it was closing in on her, and the previously comforting purple sky was suddenly getting darker as the seconds passed.
Shh... Dave, it's okay..
Dave flinched, hearing that.. strangely familiar voice whisper to him. Who was that!? Who was there!? Is there someone with them? Are they witnessing her breakdown? Oh great.. FUCKING GREAT!
Take deep breaths, sweetheart. It's okay... I'm here.
DAVE steadies themself... and remembers how to CALM DOWN.
Dave does as the mysterious voice told him, closing his eyes and taking deep breaths. Slowly, everything around him suddenly felt a little warmer. He opens his eyes to realize everything was suddenly back to how it was. Dave let out a sigh of relief, standing up and went back on her journey out of this dump. Goodness, she really needed to get out of here, all this junk was driving her crazy.
