As Dave makes it to the bottom of the stairs, he finds other people roaming around the area. Unlike the man who Dave saw earlier, they were all anthropomorphic birds rather than humans. Dave could hear them whispering, some would stop what they were doing to look and stare at her, which made Dave feel anxious. Thankfully, she didn't have to deal with that for very long as the door she was walking towards was an exit out of this place. Again, they were welcomed by the usual purple sky and its very odd stars. There were other interesting and unique things to be seen, like a house shaped like a dragon and the trees.
Dave was mesmerized by this place, it was so unique and different from how his world worked. Although amazed, it also scared him. What if she actually says something wrong to these folks? What if she accidentally does something against the law? He doesn't like that risk, but Dave kept moving anyways. If he stayed still for too long, he could... Uhh.... Nevermind, he can't think of anything bad that could happen. Either way, Dave sighed, taking one step and then a couple more to reach the stairs and climbing down it.
Sheesh, this place really likes stairs, huh?
Dave passed by a few citizens, who only looked at her for a few seconds before tending back to their own business. She supposed that it was because she fit in with the aesthetic of this universe, and in Dave's opinion, that was good. He doesn't have to deal with constant eyes silently judging him, no matter how far or near. As Dave began to walk down, the more they noticed something... out of place. She squints her eyes, but it really didn't help make it clear what felt so different. So they decide to walk a little closer to get a clearer view. But as he was walking, he felt something collide against his head, making him trip and fall onto the ground.
"Aubrey, what the heck!?" Yelled out a voice that sounded like it belonged to a young child. Running footsteps grew near, but it didn't come from one person, neither two people... it sounded like a crowd was about to surround them. As quick as he could, Dave got back up to his feet and by the time he was able to balance himself, four children arrived at his side and checked for any possible injuries. "I'm so sorry, ma'am! We didn't mean it!" A young girl with long, starry blue-purple hair exclaimed, a sad expression on her face before turning to a girl... boy..? A kid with the same starry purple hair, except shorter and a little messier.
"Why didn't you catch the ball like you said you would?" The little girl angrily scolded the kid.
"Why are you blaming me? You're the one who threw it!" The kid retorted, making the girl scoff in response. The kid wore a tank top covered in squares of many different colors and shorts which are the same color as their hair, while the girl simply just wore a nightgown. Dave sighed, a little relieved but also worried that the argument might escalate. "No worries, you two. It's alright! It didn't do any drastic physical damage and I'm sure it was an accident." Dave reassured the two bickering children. Next to them was a boy, except... he was all just in black and white. There was no purple, no pink, no other color, he was just completely monochrome.
Dave raised an eyebrow at the sight of the boy, wondering why this child was so different from the rest of the world. What makes him so special other than simply having a different color scheme compared to everyone else? Dave didn't dare to ask these questions out loud, believing that it might be considered rude to the other person. Dave heard a sigh beside him, surprising him as he quickly turns his head around to meet eyes with this person. It was a man who was no different from the other two, only being taller than them and wearing vertically striped pajamas. "Sorry about them, they don't get along very well but they still consider each other friends." The man said, apologizing on behalf of the two children.
