Chapter 1

Narrator's Pov:

A new day was beginning, in the galar region, and while some people and pokemon were awake... Except..

Y/N wasn't...

*beep beep beep beep*

Y/N's Pov:

I put my alarm on snooze and mumbled..

"Five more minutes."

But it's not like anyone could hear you since you were a 16 year old trainer living alone in a small apartment in Hammerlocke.

Just when I thought that I could go back to sleep..

*Slamm!!*

Bsf/N barged into my room.

I groaned and rolled to the side, where the door was, and accidentally throwing my sleeping mimikyu of the bed.

'Shit..'

I sleepishly got out of bed, checking up on my pokemon partner, before glaring daggers at my best friend.

She gave me a sheepish grin while rubbing the back of her neck.

I sighed.

"You really should stop coming over this early in the morning, to wake me up.."

"I didn't give you a spear key, just to harass me, by barging nto my room, at an unholy hour" I continued, still keeping a bit of eye contact, while placing my pokemon back on the bed, petting their... head.

"I knowwwww.. but I just got a letter from my relatives from unova!"

.....

"So..?" I gave her a confused and pissed off look.

"Is that a reason, to wake me, at this unholy hour?!" I whisper yelled, to not wake my now sleeping mimikyu.

I sighed and dragged her out of my bedroom, down the stairs, to the countertop, separating my kitchen from my okay sized living room.

We both sat down on the stools.

I gave her an irritated look before letting her continue her ramble. 

"As I was saying, I received a letter from kitakami, in the unova region.."

I decided to make us both a hot drink while I continued to listen to her.

"...anddddd- they have invited me to visit them since the yearly mask festival is only a week away from now!"

"That sounds cool, I'm happy for y-" she cut me off, holding up two plane tickets.

"And they want you to come with me, since they want to get to know you, after hearing so much of you, from me."

I hummed in response before I could process what she just has said since I wasn't quite awake yet.

After it hit me, I turned my head to her, with a shocked and confused expression on my face.

"But..-" I was cut off again.

"It's not like you have anything better to do, and besides.. You deserve to have a breather of fresh air."

Yet again, I gave her a weird look that I couldn't even describe.

I gave in, since I'm too tired to argue, and know that I won't win against her. 

After all, that's what best friends are for, annoying the shit out of you.

I grabbed the finished hot drink and handed my bestie her cup of hot chocolate before turning my back to her and preparing my hot drink of choice.

The second I turned back to face her, I swear that my soul left my body.

Mimikyu was sitting on the counter.

How do they always pop out of nowhere.

"..dear arceus mimikyu.., you really should stop popping out of nowhere.." I said while patting their.. head.

"or you might just scare the living daylight of me someday." I said, half-hearted, since I hoped that it won't happen and that this would be more of a warning.

"Why are you so jumpy, I mean, it's obvious that this stuff happens. That's the risk of befriending ghost type pokemon." She said out of experience, thinking back to our last sleepover, where her gengar decided to prank us by putting a white cover over themself.

The thought gave us both chills, just thinking of it..

I turned back to the previous subject.

"So.., when is the flight going?" I asked her, sipping on my hot beverage.

"In 3 days, and we will be staying there for.. 2 weeks or so." She said in a casual tone.

I spat out my drink, choking on it, causing a coughing fit, causing her to run up to me for my aid.

"..What!?" I stared at her after recovering.

"Don'ttt worry! I already took care of everything, so there's no need to overwhelm that pretty little head off yours." while patting it.

"..what did you do..?" I said, slightly anxious.

Sure, I trust her, but this is a serious matter.

She just shrugged.

"Start packing. I sent you a list of things you might need via message." She smiled before giving me a peck on the forehead and rushing to the door.

"Later bestieee~!" she chimmed before closing my apartment door.

'I have a bad feeling bout this...'
