"Damn Theo, the fuck did you do to Josephine? She seems so mad" Blaise said as he sat on the couch of Theo's dorm.

Right after their argument, Josephine rushed out of Theo's room, fuming. She passed the common room to make her way to her own dorm, making Blaise and Draco turn their heads at how mad she was.

"None of your business" Theo said as he took another hit from his blunt.

Blaise looked at Draco in a what do we do? type of look to which Draco gave him a I don't know, you handle him look.

"You should put that down man, it's not good for you" Blaise spoke in a cautious tone, referring to the blunt Theo was holding.

Theo turned to look at Blaise in a cold look, one that hid all his vulnerability and just showed anger.

"It's not like you've never fucking smoked weed before" Theo spat in an angry tone as he looked away from his friend and out of the window.

"It's different when you smoke at parties and different while you smoke on a random school day" Blaise defended himself.

"We're just trying to look out for you man" Draco added onto what Blaise said.

"Well I didn't ask to be looked out for like I'm some toddler now, did I?" Theo argued.

Theo hated when other people treated him that way. It made him feel like he wasn't normal, like he needed to be taken care of.

He always believed that he could get over stuff himself, like he didn't need any help from anyone. He especially hated asking for help from others, it made him feel weak.

"What has you acting like this? I mean, did something happen?" Draco asked.

"You can always talk to us mate" Blaise added, to which Theo just shrugged.

"What if I don't wanna talk about it?" Theo asked.

The two other boys had no idea why Theo was acting this way, but it was obvious that something had happened. For him to yell at Josephine that way, knowing how much he liked her, it didn't sit right with them. But they decided they weren't going to push him about it.

"Alright man, we'll go. You know where to find us if you need anything" Blaise said.

And with that, the two boys left the room, leaving Theo alone with his thoughts.

What did he care if Josephine was mad? There were so many other girls in Hogwarts that he could be with whenever he wanted, so many of them that would practically fall to their knees for even an inch of the attention he had given her.

She wasn't even that special.

Yet, why couldn't he stop thinking about her?

——

"Fucking hell, he looks like shit" Pansy whispered at Josephine.

The two girls were sitting at the Slytherin Table in the Great hall for dinner. It had been three days since Josephines argument with Theo, and no one had seen him anywhere since then.

The whole group was sitting together, as usual, when Theo sat in between Blaise and Draco, across from Josephine.

"Look at you, did you rise from the dead?" Pansy teased Theo.

"Fuck off Parkinson" Theo muttered under his breath.

"Where's Daphne?" Draco asked, trying to change the awkwardness.

"Probably getting Mattheoed in a broom closet somewhere" Pansy joked, making the rest of the group laugh.

"Ew Pans, can you not?" Josephine said, her face scrunched up in disgust.

"Oh sorry, sometimes I forget you two are siblings" Pansy said, even though she didn't look the least bit sorry with that huge grin on her face.

The group continued making conversation, laughing and talking. It was nice for Josephine, it made her feel normal to be a part of a friend group for the first time.

She had craved this sense of normality her whole life, and this was the closest she would get to it, considering whose daughter she was.

While the rest of her friends were talking, she raised her head only to be met with Theo's eyes, who was shamelessly staring at her.

"The fuck you looking at Nott?" She snapped at him.

"You" He replied, without a care in the world and with a smirk on his face.

"Oh please, do you have no decency?" She angrily asked.

"Not when it comes to you"

"Asshole" Her words spat at him.

"Bitch" He replied with that stupid smirk on his face, making the whole friend group turn silent as they listened in on their argument.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me"

"Calling a woman a bitch, how original of you"

"Please, you're hardly a woman" He tried to insult her.

"Is that why you were staring at me like that?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Like what?"

"Like you want to fuck me" She simply stated, making him let out a mocking laugh.

"Oh you wish" He said, his words spiked with poison. Little did he know, she's had enough poison in her life to make her immune.

"I have enough guys slobbering all over me, you're not special"

"Wait until they find out what a cunt you are"

"Pretty sure they don't care about the cunt in my personality, if you know what I mean" She said, making the rest of the groups jaws drop.

Theo was silent, and so was she. They just stared at eachother, hatred clouding their visions.

"I fucking hate you Riddle" Theo said as he stood up to leave.

"Feelings mutual then Nott" She said while blowing him a kiss as he walked away.

God how she god on his nerves. He was usually good at keeping himself calm, but no, Josephine had to come in and mess with his fucking head.

He hated her stupid face, her stupid brunette hair and brown eyes, that looked black when the light didn't shine on them.

He hated how she always knew exactly what to say and when to say it, how to exactly bring him down when he wanted to insult her.

He fucking hated her, and it was all he could think about at times.

But the problem was, Josephine had no clue why he hated her so badly, what happened that made him change the way he acted towards her so drastically?
