Chapter 52: Just a Headache

"OK! Okay... I get it...", said Stone, as he sipped his coffee. After they finished their coffee, they walked back to the hospital. "Okay, Stone. I will ask you some questions. And you're supposed to answer ALL of them, okay?", "Okay.", he said without hesitating, and Kate was stunned, but didn't say anything.

"First one; Do you like chocolate?", "Hell yeah, I do!", "Wow... I never knew... Okay, second question; Did you ever date anyone?", "Nope.", "Well, did you ever try?", "Nope, again.", "Okay... Did you ever like someone?", "Nope.", "You sure?", "Yes.", "Did you ever love someone?", she asked as he didn't respond, and just looked at the ground, with his hands in his pocket, and a smile on his face.

"Is that a yes?", she asked, "Yes...", "Wait, what?", "Yes...", "Who is it?", "Now, THAT is something I can never disclose. Not now, to be sure.", "No! Why?", "There are some reasons you know...", he said, as they reached the hospital. "You have at least met her, haven't you?", "I sure have...", he said, as Kate stayed in one place, and Stone walked inside. "I even talked to her, several times. But I don't know, if she feels the same...", he said to himself.

The two then went inside, just to find Caleb and Steve sitting on the bench, asleep on each other. "Oh, my god... These two!" said Kate, smiling and sitting beside Caleb. "Where's Cody?", asked Stone, to a nurse. "He's inside the room but needs rest, so please stay outside. We'll call you when required.", said the nurse.

Stone sat beside Kate and brushed a strand of her hair. "Yeah?", she asked, assuming he wanted to say something. "What?", "You called?", "No?", "Oh... Okay...", "Well...", continued Stone, as Kate looked at him with a neutral face, "I did want to say something.", "What is it, Daddy's Princess?", she asked, as she smiled, but Stone didn't care and just smiled.

"Wait... You really like that name?", "I don't... It's just that... You look childish when you say that, Croissant.", "Ok... Let's make a deal. You stop calling me Croissant, and I stop calling you Daddy's Princess... Okay?", "I guess...", he said, as Kate sighed, and adjusted herself to the seat. She was sleepy, with all the drama going on.

"Sleep?", asked Stone, "Yeah... I even have a headache.", "Headache? Why's that so?", he asked in concern. "I don't know...", she said, "You know, when I was young, I once had an extreme headache, and Dad had to call an ambulance in the middle of the night! I can still remember how it felt.", she said, as she massaged her head.

"Ever felt like that again?", asked Stone, "Yes... In fact, I slightly feel like that right now...", she said, as she closed her eyes, and kept massaging her head. "You want me to get you a tablet, to relieve your pain?", he asked, even more concerned. "No... It's fine. It's just a headache... It'll go soon.", she said, as she excused herself to the restroom.

"Just a headache, Stone... JUST a headache...", said Stone to himself. Meanwhile, Caleb woke up, unexpectedly. "You okay?", "I just had a nightmare...", said Caleb, as he adjusted himself, and rubbed his eyes. "How's Cody?", "Cody's okay, he's resting.", "And Kate?", "She's in the restroom... She's having a headache...", "A headache? Oh god...", "Why? What's wrong?", asked Stone.

"Well, the last time she had a headache-", "I know...She told me... Her Dad had to call an ambulance-", "That was a long time ago... I'm talking about the recent time.", "What had happened?", "She had the highest fever possible and cried the whole time. She even acted like she was possessed...", said Caleb, completely stunning Stone.
