this year Taylor decided that y/n is old enough to get started on the elf on the shelf tradition. since Taylor has the whole December month off work she can dedicate her whole time with her family.

Taylor pov

"lulu I have something to tell you about" I said sitting down on the chair by her side as she eats her dinner

"what mommy?" she says happily looking at me and leaving her dinner behind

"lulu finish your dinner then we talk ok?" I said realizing my mistake

"I'm full mama" she said

"Three more spoons and your done okay?" I said showing her three fingers, her plate is half finished. she gives me a cheeky grin and I smirk

"oh someone wants mommy to feed you?" I said and she nodded shyly

I giggled and looked over to see Travis cleaning birdie hands.

"would you believe that Travis? miss lulu here wants mommy to feed her" I said playfully to Travis

"oh my, well I guess I will take charge of that since miss birdie is asking for mommy time" he said handing me birdie that is making grabby hands to me

"okay" Travis get a spoonful of food

"oh my I think I saw a rat on the floor! hopefully he won't eat your food right?" Travis said making the same game he always does

Travis places the spoon in front of lulu and pretends to be looking for the rat on the floor, while he looks down lulu eats the content on the spoon and giggles

"what so funny- oh my god did the rat eat your food?" he said seriously and she nodded giggling

"oh this cheeky rat, I will give you this spoon now, I bet he won't eat this" he said placing the spoon in front of her while looking around for this rat and he turned back to see the spoon all clean and lulu face full of food

"oh no! this rat keeps eating your food! what do we do now tay!" he said dramatically and making lulu laugh hard

"I don't know trav, maybe we should look better for this rat" I said getting on the game

he kept doing this until lulu plate was empty

"oh well he did eat all of your food" he said cleaning lulu face with a napkin and picking her up

now I was sat in front of trav with birdie on my lap facing him as he was in front of me with Lulu on his lap facing me

"so lulu, this important thing I need to talk about" I start off and look at Travis, he already knows about it

"now that you turned four you are going to get a special visit" I said smiling

"A DOCTOR VISIT?" she asks with her eyes widening

"no, no lulu is a special visit from the North Pole" I said chuckling and she soon relaxes

"yes, lulu. do you know what time of the year it is?" Travis asked her
