I woke up to the sound of girls chatting and realised that I had slept through the whole of dinner.

'Feck me.' I groaned and smacked my face with a pillow and fell back down onto my bed.

'Oh my god, dinner was so good! It was fish fingers, chicken goujons and chips!' Brooke patted her stomach and licked her lips. The others nodded in agreement.

'Valerie, I think you have an admirer!' Cassie wiggled her eyebrows and all of the others squealed and slapped each other's hands.

Why the hell would she think that?

'Look! Someone left you a note and some dinner! Oh my god, that's so cute!' She gushed.

'Oh. So I did.' I said.

I opened the note and it said:

I am sorry for getting you kicked out of the library, I didn't see you at dinner, so I brought you up some dinner. I remember you saying that it was one of your favorites, so I didn't want you to miss out on any of it.

I don't like going to bed angry.

Forgive me?0

Vincent.

Vincent brought me food.8

Not just that but he remembered.

He remembered my favourite food.

I told him I loved fish fingers ages ago.

In like, September. It was like, almost December.

Which is at the end of the year.

'Not a secret admirer. Buíochas le Dia. Just Vincent.' I said and picked up the food.

'Oh, just Vincent you guys.' Brooke gave them a knowing smirk.

'Oh her friend.' Kaitlynn said friend in a very odd tone.

'Cad a fuck? Why are you looking at me like that?' I asked but they all just shrugged and giggled. Why the hell were they acting so odd? Did I say something weird? I decided to ignore their glances and finished my fish fingers.

'Crap.' I realised that this meant that I had to apologise to him since he did to me.

'I'll just wait 'till Anger Management to apologise to him.' I muttered and put the napkin in the bin.

I don't go to bed angry kept flashing in my mind on and off so I wrote,

Dear Vincent,

I got the food and your note. Thank you for apologising and I suppose I forgive you even though I was right and you were in the wrong completely. Since you brought me dinner, I thought that it was only appropriate to give you something in return. If I remember correctly ( which I am sure I do.) you like biscoff biscuits. I remember seeing you eat them all of the time with your tea.

If you tell anyone that I did this for you I will destroy you.

From Valerie.

I attached the biscuits to the letter, entered his dorm room, put it beside his bed and left his dorm without drawing any attention to myself. Or so I thought because Callum saw me and asked,

'What do you think you're doing going into his room like that?' He didn't need to say Vincent because I knew what he meant when he said his. I still think to this day that he knew exactly what I was doing there. He never said it but I knew he knew.

'None of your goddamn business. Tell him and I will hunt you down and beat you up like I did Vincent. Understand?' I threatened and walked away before he could say anything to me. I couldn't believe I was doing all of this for a guy.
