It is now the next day. OJ is putting his packed luggage in the back of his car as Paper watches from outside the entrance of the hotel. It was extremely cold out that morning, so they were both bundled up in warm clothing.

After OJ finished loading up his car, he went to Paper and gave him a hug.
"Goodbye, Paper, see you in a month."
"Bye, OJ... stay safe."

OJ then broke away from the hug and walked away, entering the driver seat then driving off, leaving Paper to manage the hotel. Paper took deep breaths before going back inside the hotel. Thankfully, it was quite early, so barely anyone was up. Paper put his hat and scarf on the coat hanger and then took out both his and OJ's to-do list.

He did the usual morning routine, just with a few extra chores OJ normally does during mornings. As Paper did those things, he felt some confidence arise in him. 'Maybe I can do this,' Paper thought to himself as he was preparing breakfast on the kitchen counter. Trophy then entered the lobby and then into the kitchen, rudely shoving Paper.

"Out of the way you flat faced twerp," Trophy said with his usual jock like attitude as he pulled out the blender from the cabinet just above the counter. After Paper had been pushed, he felt an oddly familiar feeling. Paper felt himself lose control for a split second, punching Trophy in the arm as hard as he could.

Almost immediately after getting punched, Trophy grabbed Paper's arm, squeezing it tightly as he faced him with an angry look on his face.
"Oh, so it's going to be like that, huh? You think you can man up to me because you're in charge now, don't you?"
"N-No! I didn't mean to-"
"Shut the hell up, weakling!"
Trophy then threw Paper against the wall, looming over him as Paper was now on the ground holding back tears.
"Learn your place, squirt. Otherwise, I might have to put you there myself."

Trophy smirked as he walked off back to the blender to make his fruity smoothie. Paper got up, his back stinging from it getting slammed against the wall.

Paper started to question himself, 'Why did I punch him?'

After thinking for a while, he decided it would be best to worry later since he still had breakfast to make and a bunch of chores to do. As Trophy finally left the kitchen, Paper got back to making breakfast.
