It's early in the morning when Seokjin gets to work. Just a normal day.
Seokjin works as a chef at Kim's local restaurant— it's a restaurant owned by one of his friend's (Taehyung's) parents. Only a year ago did he become chef after Chef Kim stepped down, offering him the position instead because he trusts Seokjin.
He's been friends with Taehyung for quite a few years now, since high school. He's also been friends with Namjoon since then.
Taehyung hasn't found his soulmate yet, but Namjoon has— he got the name 'Min Yoongi' written on his wrist mere seconds before freaking out and spilling coffee all over one of his coworkers at his new job, and the man he burned turned out to be (you guessed it) his Min Yoongi.
Seokjin is still mildly horrified of possibly meeting his soulmate in such a way.
But for years and years, Seokjin waits. He waits for his soulmate's name to appear in red ink over his skin. It's not like he'll ever know when it'll come, but he still wakes up every day for the past twenty-seven years, peeling his heavy eyes open and before starting his day, he looks down at his wrist, hoping to see something new.
