Dani sat on a throne, surrounded by the most beautiful flowers. He he gently smiled, twirling a rose in his fingers. The colors were ever so vivid, but something... Was missing deep in his heart.
Birds softly chirped in the distance as Dani waited for a certain someone...He suddenly flinched, hearing footsteps. "Back already?" Dani turned around, expecting to wait for a while longer.
"It'd be rude to keep a beautiful prince waiting." His knight; Azure, chuckled. Dani smiled at seeing Azure. Azure kneeled down, kissing his prince's finger gently. Dani softly blushed at the act, not so sure why he couldn't help it.
Azure was a high ranking duke in the royal kingdom, but he decided to be the prince's right hand knight.
"I believe your hand would look much better with a ring on it." Azure smirked, leaving Dani in a blushing mess. "A-Azure.. You know there's plenty of people my family wants me to court..."
"So? You don't even like 90% of them. The others are just your friends now, plus- That doesn't mean I can't put a ring on your finger can it?" He laughed. Dani stuttered his words, embarrassed and flustered.
Azure laughed, "What's wrong with trying? It's not like I have a 0% chance of failing so why not give it a shot?" He shrugged, standing up. Azure was such a teaser with Dani.
Dani blushed, giving up as he smiled once more. His smile disappeared, turning into a frown. "Azure... There's something I need to inform you about."
"Hm? What is it?" Azure asked, "Well... Tonight.. My parents will hold a masquerade for me.. They want me to find someone to join the royal family.. As my queen." Dani's voice now quiet.
"Already?" Azure sighed. "It's already past noon, why don't you get ready for the masquerade?" Dani's heart sank a bit. "I'd like to spend just a little bit more time with you. I'm not even sure I'd really get to see you after tonight." He chuckled.
"Well, let's say I have a plan or two for this.. I just thought this masquerade would be held off for just a bit longer. Don't fear, my prince. I'm confident that I'll help you find a way out of this situation." Azure wrapped his hands around Dani's.
"I don't care what you do. Just... Don't leave me in years of despair please." Dani begged. "I won't. Not in a million years, Dani. I have no reason to leave you." Azure softly smiled, letting go of Dani's hand. "See you after the masquerade~" He winked, leaving the vivid garden.
