Chapter 2: Red Wings

Yn pov 

I continued doing my chores as usual until I noticed a note on the fridge. I took off my washing gloves and took the note off the magnet.

Please go to the store for this:

-Milk

-Bananas

-Tea

-Oil

-Eggs

P.S. the money is in the fruit bowl

I look at the bowl and saw a bit of the money poking out from the bowl. Well, I should finish doing the dishes first and then change my cloths to go out. I nod at my plan and put on my gloves to finish  the dishes. I quickly finished, making sure I didn't scratch or break any, so granny doesn't kill me. I set my gloves aside to dry and went upstairs to my room. I find comfortable cloths and changed from my pajamas.

I checked myself in the mirror, at least I look more presentable. I brushed my hair and put on a headband.  

"Bye buddy, protect the house"

I went downstairs and put on my shoes, I than spotted my bag.

I went back into the kitchen and got the money and grabbed the note. I put it into my bag and put my bag across my body. I grabbed my house keys and was about to leave the house but stopped. I looked around the house to make sure I did the chores

Mop the floor? Check

Do laundry? Check

Dusted? Check

Feed Godzilla? Check

Water Granny's flowers? Check

Wash the dishes? Check

Okay, I did everything, so I'm all set. I opened the door and locked it behind me, I then put my keys in my bag and walked away humming.

As I was walking back home, I heard a big explosion. I flinched and looked in the direction it came from.

Should I go check it out?

No, don't be stupid, when there's a boom go the other direction not towards it

.......I walked towards the explosion.

I saw a huge crowd of people and news reporters at the site. I took a deep breath and got closer to the crowd to see what was going on. I looked up to see a man with big red wings fighting a villain throwing chunks of the ground at him. 

Wait, those wings look familiar

I heard squeals of all of the girls in the crowd yelling Hawks, I cringed. Those girls are terrifying. Then others asking why he was in our city. So that's what he's called, well that his hero name at least.  I then turned my attention back to him, he kept dodging the villain's attack but one attack hit his wing. He attacked like it was nothing but I noticed he had more trouble flying and his wing seemed to weigh him off and he looked tired. I looked around and I saw no medics or support. If he doesn't get help he'll be to vulnerable to stop the villain.

  I frowned, I'm not allowed to use my quirk but no one will know if I do it secretly. I move away from the crowd to a secluded area near the fight. I took a deep breath and released my healing aura and hummed to not overwhelm myself.  The aura surrounded him and slowly healed his wing and gave him more energy. He was the healed and I stopped using my healing aura. The villain was about to strike at him again, out of fear, I puffed up my cheeks and spitted out some of my silk. My silk then wrapped around his hands, stopping his attack. 

Oh no, why am I such a coward, now they'll definitely notice me

People gasped and so did Hawks, he looked shocked and looked my direction. I flinched and ran off before he could call me out infront of everyone, especially those reporters.

I continued running without looking back, I don't need to get in trouble especially if I want to get into UA.

Dang it, I forgot I have egg's. I hope I didn't break them, Granny will kill me.
