"I love youuuuu! BYEEEE!!!" Kehlani yelled as Mia drove down the driveway. Mia was going back to her hometown to help her mom move into a new home. The first thing Mia did with her first few paychecks was buy her mom and little brother a brand new home.
Kehlani didn't know that's what she was gonna do with the money and when she found out her heart melted. She has met the family many times and instantly fell in love with them.
She thought they were perfect. So if she knew that was Mia's plan all along she wouldn't help in anyway. They found a beautiful home for the two in a great neighborhood. Mia was raised in Boston but her mom wanted to move near Manhattan because she absolutely loved the view of the park.
Kehlani has a penthouse in New York, that's where she first moved when she moved out on her own. When she has work out there she and Mia stay there and usually make time to see Mia's family.
Kehlani is going back to San Francisco for a party Ayesha invited her to. She didn't know why she got invited because it's kinda for the team and all their friends and family.
But Ayesha and Steph said she was totally welcome to come. She was a little nervous about going because she didn't know anyone besides them so hopefully she doesn't embarrass or something.
She leaves in a couple hours, and already packed her bag. She just wanted to be there for one day and leave the next.

"Hey, Kehlani follow us!" Ayesha yelled out to her over the music that was playing. The three sat at last rows of rounded couches near the bar they had there.
"We are gonna make our rounds and say hi to everyone, I know don't know anyone hear but you can come if you want to" Kehlani contemplated but shook her head and motioned her hand for them to go "Oh no you guys go I'm gonna get a drink"
Ayesha and Stephen walked away hand in hand. Kehlani sat down and looked at her for a few minutes and decided to get something to drink.
She was looking at the menu but just decided on iced water. The bartender still gave her a cocktail straw and was relieved because her lip gloss always wipes away faster without one.
She was just people watching while sipping her water and then spotted Ayesha and Steph. She fought against her thoughts of going over to them but she thought it was rude to interrupt so she just sat there patiently.
Then she felt the side of the couch dip and her heart fell out of her ass because she really didn't want to talk to anyone here. She just kept her eyes straight forward pretending to not acknowledge the person next to her.
"Excuse me, miss?" She turned her face to the person next to her. Damn.... He's gorgeous. "Yes?" She replied with a small smile, "That drink looks really good? What is it?" She looked down at her cup in confusion, is he dumb? "It's um, just water". His eyes widened a little as he looked back at her cup,"Oh!? I totally thought it was an alcoholic drink, my bad" Kehlani laughed at his sympathetic smile.
"Oh your all good" Damn his eyes, they look fuckin perfect. "Sorry,What's your name?" He looked at her in a little confusion, "Kehlani, what's yours?"
"Jordan" he knew exactly who she was but didn't want to come off obsessed and he was hoping she would ask for his name and remember him.
"Nice to meet you, are you on the team?" Kehlani said to try and keep the conversation going. "Yea I am, are you on the team as well?" Kehlani laughed at his response and shook her head "oh yea I am" they both looked at each other and laughed.
"Um no I'm a friend of Ayesha's" Jordan nodded his head "I like your dress, that color looks good on you" Kehlani felt her face heat up at the compliment. "Oh, thank you it took me forever to figure out what I wanted to wear."
"Really? You did great maybe you can be my stylist" Kehlani laughed at him. "I mean I like what you got on now your girlfriend did just fine"
"Girlfriend?" Kehlani covered her mouth with her hand and widened her eyes slightly, "Oh sorry! Boyfriend". Jordan's mouth fell open at her words.
"Boyfriend!? What no no no!" She laughed at his shocked expression. "Sorry, rude of me to assume" Jordan raised his eyebrows "I look gay?!"
"Umm no...." Jordan's mouth fell open again "Oh my gosh you think I look gay?!" Kehlani laughed even harder at him "I'm messing with you! You look..... veryyy ummm..... straight I guess"
Jordan laughs while shaking his head, he licks his lips and shares down hers. Kehlani knows exactly what he's doing and it's killing her because his lips look fucking perfect.

"Hey Jordan, um Kehlani are you ready to go?" Ayesha said to the two of them. Kehlani nodded and grabbed her bag and stood up.
Jordan didn't want their night to end because he knew he might not see her again. "It was really nice meeting you Jor-".
"Wait, umm do you wanna ride home?"
"Oh um I'm ok Ayesha and Steph are going to drive me back, but thank you though." Kehlani replied while backing up and letting go of his hand.
"Can I get your number at least?" Kehlani looked down at the floor a little flustered "Uh I'm sorry I don't wanna give my number out to anyone" Jordan stood up and looked down at her in confusion.
"Why? I mean we talked for a good three hours, I just thought....." Jordan said quietly. "Well, I'm sorry I just don't know you that well to give you my number."
"So is that what you do?" Kehlani stared up at him in confusion "do what?".
"Flirt with men and then walk away like nothing happened and make them look stupid" Kehlani let out a short laugh and rolled her eyes and backed away.
"Um... That wasn't even flirting" "then what the fuck was that? Is your definition of flirting us fucking or?"
"You're actually crazy..." Kehlani said and walked away and out the door to see Ayesha and Steph outside saying bye to others.

📍Hidden Hills Kehlani's house
It's been a couple of weeks since the party and Kehlani and Mia have been really busy with work since then. She told Mia about Jordan and Mia laughed in her face and said "YOU DONT KNOW WHO THAT IS?".
Kehlani was quite embarrassed but she didn't really recognize him or anything. It's now the end of January and the start of a new year, she was hoping she would have more energy to do something but she just wanted to be watching movies with Mia.
So that's what they were doing, she had an audition the next day and didn't feel like going out for the night. Her audition was for a romance movie, it was something different for her but the part she didn't like was her character being seventeen falling in love with a 30 year old man.
She just thought it was weird and questioned who would the male character be. She hoped it's someone at least good looking.
