"How long are you gonna be there?" Kehlani questioned Mia over the phone. Mia had to go visit her mom and brother to help out with more family issues they were dealing with.
"Hopefully not long because I'm not in the mood for stupid ass drama." She replied annoyed over the phone.
"Alright text me if you know anything or need something ok?"
"Ok love you, bye"
"Love you bye"
Kehlani sighed and set her phone on her vanity. She wanted to get ready for the day so she can do some paperwork for the homeless shelter she planned with Kevin. She needed to go over a few more things with him to make sure everything was on track.
It still kinda shocked her that he even agreed to it but she knew she needed help and was thankful he joined.
As she finished getting ready she grabbed a water and sat down at her counter and started to get to work. It was around 2 in the afternoon when she started, she got home very late from filming and had the rest of the day off she was thankful she wasn't gonna have to stress about getting to set on time.

It finally hit 4:30 when Kehlani decided to stop for the night. She was hungry and ready to watch a show. She got all her paperwork and walked to her office and put it away but heard her door bell go off. She was confused on why because Joe tells her when someone's here. She just figured Joe wanted to talk to her so she went downstairs to open the door.
When she opened the door her heart stopped for a second. "What are you.... What are you doing here?" Her heart was pounding, she wish it wasn't but seeing him did that to her.
"I'm here to make you dinner, excuse me." He walked right past her and made his way to her kitchen.
"Wait no, Jordan you can't just do that." She argued while following him. "And why is that?"
"You've been ignoring me."
Jordan set down his two grocery bags and leaned back against the counter staring back at her. "I know. I wanted to talk to about that. I realized I should have talked to you before ignoring you because I know now that it made things worse. I messed up, and I have an explanation for that."
"Go on."
"I ignored you because I'm confused, I want something between us but you don't. It made me confused because you seemed like it for a bit then you hang out with other guys and it messed with me. I need to know what we are. I want us to be something, weather it's friends...... or something else...." Jordan hesitantly said as he took a step closer to her.
"Ohhh cousins?!" Kehlani said in excitement.
"Fuck no." Jordan quickly replied disgusted. "But I'm serious. I like talking, being around you but I need to know what we are. I know that communication is key and just ignoring it wasn't the smartest move and I really regret it. So.... I wanted to cook you dinner.....as an apology."
"You're gonna bribe me with dinner......." Kehlani said slowly while looking over at the two bags. She wasn't gonna forgive just like that but she was kinda hungry.
"Uhhh I'm not bribing you, I'm just showing you appreciation."
"Appreciation for........"
"For..... being so amazing......" Jordan replied hesitantly.
"You're an ass. What are you gonna make?"
"It's a surprise"
"Ok...... Also why didn't Joe let me know you were here?"
