Time SkipCobra spent nearly the entire day meticulously planning his upcoming journey. The room where he kept his scrolls was a chaotic mess, with scrolls strewn about haphazardly. Feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over him, Cobra let out a tired yawn and decided to take a break. He turned around, leaving the cluttered room behind, and slithered through the hallway until he reached his own room. With another yawn, he entered and immediately noticed Aurora sighing out the window, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. Raising an eyebrow, Cobra couldn't help but smirk as he slowly approached her. In a sudden move, he grabbed her from behind, causing her to yelp in surprise, and pinned her down.
"Cobra!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of annoyance and amusement. "Don't scare me like that."
He chuckled softly. "Well, you had your guard down, so I couldn't resist the opportunity."
Aurora sighed, pushing him off her and slithering towards the sink to wash off her makeup. Cobra, curious about her daydreaming, asked her, "Why were you lost in thought by the window?" She froze for a moment, searching for an answer. "Um... well, it's just... I, uh..."
Cobra raised an eyebrow, growing more puzzled by her hesitation. "Me and... Peng had a good time, is that it?"
"Hmm," he looked at her with narrowed eyes, suspicion creeping in. After a brief pause, he shrugged. "Alright."
As he moved to slither onto his bed, Cobra suddenly lunged at Aurora, causing her to yelp once again as he wrapped his body around hers. "I win. Again."
"Come on, that's not fair!" she protested playfully.
Both of them chuckled, and he released his grip, preparing to settle into bed.
"Cobra," she called out, catching his attention. "Mom told me that you agreed to hang out with me and my friends. Is that true?" she asked, a hopeful smile on her face. He nodded, and she playfully hit his side, her smile widening.
"Finally. It took you long enough."
He chuckled softly, slithering onto his bed, and Aurora did the same. They blew out their candles together. "Good night!" Aurora bid Cobra.
"Night," he responded, and they both drifted off to sleep.
Time Skip
Cobra's sleep was far from comfortable; he was drenched in sweat and muttering under his breath. He was plagued by a nightmare, tossing and turning in his bed, his sheets long abandoned. As the sun bathed the city in its warm glow, Cobra groaned and slowly opened his eyes, staring at the ceiling without moving. He rubbed his head and groaned again, until Aurora grabbed his tail and began dragging him out of bed.
"Come on, Cobra, get ready. We're meeting them after breakfast!"
"Why are you so excited, Aurora... I just woke up..."
"Stop being lazy, Cobra! Come on!"
He sighed, reluctantly getting up and slithering alongside Aurora towards the dining table. It seemed like they were the first ones awake.
"Well, looks like we're the early birds."
"Hooray..."
They made their way to the table, and Cobra sat down, resting his head on the table and closing his eyes for a moment of respite. He needed to gather his energy for the plans he had for the day. Aurora slithered into the kitchen, checking the fridge and cabinets.
"Do you want me to make you something small before mom comes?"
"So you can explode the kitchen again?" he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.
