Rain poured throughout the green grass of the cemetery as a coffin can be seen being lowered to a hole dug out on the ground. The people attending the burial shared the same somber and despair filled looks in their faces. The pouring rain made it a lot more sorrowful as the coffin was lowered(1).

As they placed the coffin in the hole, everyone in the crowd tossed in white roses and wished the dead's soul peace and love as it made its way to the afterlife. It was an emotional day for the people at the burial to say goodbye to the person in the coffin.

Three people in particular had the most emotion in their faces as tears leaked out of their eyes and their cries of agony and despair echoed alongside the dripping rain. These people are the Yagi family, the family of the dead, Izuku Yagi, and the most devastated by his demise. They just lost their son and brother. The person most precious to them is gone forever.

Toshinori blamed himself for his death. Being the Number One Hero, All Might, he could've done something to prevent this. After his meeting with his former sidekick, Sir Nighteye, he rushed his way home and informed Inko of the sudden vision that his former sidekick foresaw. Instead of calling Izuku of his whereabouts, to somehow safeguard him from the dark future, he waited home due to his limited use of his quirk, forcing him to revert back to his skinny form.

Due to his cowardice to his secret becoming exposed, he had lost his stepson. Despite not being blood related, Izuku was the son that he would love and protect in any time or universe. One of the most important people in his life, gone. And it was his fault. Some kind of a hero he was. He had disappointed not only Izuku but also his master. The person who had given him his quirk. The same quirk that he was supposed to use to save his son. He questioned himself if he was truly worthy of this quirk.

He was a disappointment as a hero, if he couldn't even save his own son. His son died as a hero, saving a girl from the burning, collapsing building. That made him realize that Izuku was truly the best pick to inherit One For All. The quirk that he was supposed to offer to him that very day he died. If only he had given it to him sooner, Izuku would've lived.

"I-Izuku... I-i'm so sorry, m-my b-baby boy." Inko wailed as she was being hugged by her husband while patting her back. Streams of tears made their way down her face as she took in deep breaths. "I-I'm sorry f-for not supporting y-you in y-your d-dreams." she continued as her hold on Toshinori tightened as she cried.

For a mother to say goodbye to their children is saddening but to see that your son's burned and crushed body in the morgue of a hospital is truly heartbreaking. She was no different.

The moment the news of Izuku's death came to her, she immediately dropped to the floor as she broke down into a sobbing mess. Before Toshinori could inform her about Sir Nighteye's vision, she had felt that something was odd but she just couldn't tell what. It didn't help that she accidentally knocked down a picture frame containing Izuku's picture when she was cleaning his room and broke the glass of said frame, which made her worry even more. She had grown paranoid ever since he was diagnosed as a quirkless individual, and Toshinori's words saying about Sir Nighteye's vision of Izuku's death made her paranoia grow tenfold.

Now, Izuku's dead. Her baby boy is gone. Forever.

She could never see his smiles again. Smiles that stayed determined even after she turned down his dream. Smiles that Izuku plastered on his face to conceal the sadness and pain he had felt after every single day of school.

I'm so sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry if I disappointed you, my baby boy. I wish you could forgive mommy for not believing in you. She thought before passing out in her husband's arms due to dehydration.
