SubZero: A new age

Chapter 3: The arrival

Before we know it, the day of the princesses' arrival was here. Her name is Clove. Clove is one of the most beautiful names I have ever heard and every time I hear it, I get even more excited to meet her in person. Soon enough, we went with our aunt Kharis in our dragon forms to go and greet Clove and her guards.

As we got close to them, I could see Clove more clearly and she is more beautiful than expected. Her beautiful long bright red hair and light blue eyes. Her light skin glows in the sunlight as she rides on her lovely horse. 

At first. There was a lot of commotion going on seeing us but soon everyone calmed down. One of the guards who went with Clove tried to protect her but she decided to go back because she remembered something. She remembered a hair charm thing the Kharis had on her hair when she came to Cloves village. Don't know how she saw it seeing how big of a dragon we can get too but somehow she did. 

Not exactly knowing what would happen to her, Clove started walking up to the dragon being the brave girl she is and bowed to it and said her name. Everyone was in shock that she was bowing to the dragon which soon shifted back into Kharis.

When Kharis was back into her natural state, she greeted Clove so nicely and was happy to be seeing her again. "Omg Clove, it's so good to see you again. How have you been?", Kharis asked. Before Clover could answer her, us twins decided to shift back too. Clove's face while watching us was priceless. She was so surprised to see us, especially since we are only kids. "Purple dragons, huh? Never seen that before", as Clove made her way towards us. Together, we both said "Hello, your grace", as calmly as we could and bowed. 

Clove let out a slight laugh while watching us. She said, "You two are too adorable. You don't have to be so formal with me, you know." Me and my brother looked at each other with confused expressions but then just went with it.

As we made our way into the palace, Kamari and I started to get to know Clove and she is amazing. She is beautiful, smart, funny, and many more things I love. 

"So tell me about yourselves", Clove asks us. We both take turns telling her about the past few years that we could remember and all the crazy things we went through. "When we were 5, we started wrestling each other to see who is the strongest twin, and it's clearly me", my brother starts explaining. "But he seems to be the one who ends up on the floor so wouldn't that make me the strongest", I say with a slight grin on my face. My brother looks at me with an annoyed expression on his face while I laugh at him. Clove joins in on the laugh and us twins smile at each other seeing how we had just made our very first memory with our future mom. Sadly we didn't have enough time to get through the whole story seeing how we were coming up to the palace entrance so we continued the conversation another time. 

While walking through the palace to go see the prince, one of the maids who were with us started talking, mainly to my brother and I. "Pardon me but I just can't get over how much you two look like his highness, Prince Kyro." She said as we both started glaring at her and then she continued to talk a bit more. "I'm sorry, It's just you children are the closest people I've ever seen who resemble the royal family so much, other than the royal family itself of course." 

We look at each other and then back at the maid saying thanks. We don't know why we said it seeing how it was one of the most awkward situations that's happened to us in a few weeks but soon we just let it got past us and focused on the more important things. 

"That was really weird", my Kamari whispers to me. "What was she even talking about?"

"I don't know my darling brother but all I want to know is do we actually look like them? Could it be possible that our parents had more than just a friendship with the Prince? I just don't know what to think." 

"Try and stay calm down sister, it's going to be okay. We'll figure this out at some point.", my brother says to me. 

"You're right, you're right. I can't freak out now. This is definitely not the right time nor place to do that. And plus, we don't even know if she's telling the truth or not but anyways... thanks brother and lets try and forget about this for now and just focus on what's happening now", I say.

"You're welcome twin"

Moments later, we reach where the Prince was currently at. Everyone was with us. Even the Captain and Lieutenant of the Azure guard were there. Mainly just to protect the princess but I was thinking that they also wanted to see inside the palace as well. 

From the moment the Azure clan arrived, I picked up on something about a certain someone. I noticed that the Lieutenant, Aaron, was glancing at Clove multiple times. The look in his eyes weren't the type of looks a normal lieutenant would give a princess and I didn't want to think there was sometime going on between them. But the look he had did seem a little familiar. Then I remember that a few weeks ago, my brother had this big crush on a friend of his. Every time I saw them together, he had that same look in his eyes. He was crazy for her. Sadly he found out that she had a boyfriend already so he knew he didn't have a chance. Sorry brother. You'll find your special someone soon. But to get back on track with this... I got to the point where I was thinking that Aaron has a crush on Clove. I don't know for how long yet but I am going to find out everything about their history. But I'll save my investigation for another day. 

At some point, I'm going to tell my brother about this little side mission of mine and hoping he'll help with it but until then, it's just me. And all I know is that one day, I'll find out the truth about what's really going on and if Clove might have felt the same way for him.
