"Legend says that when you stand in the mirror with your hair in a poinytail, and say her name over and over, she'll appear in the mirror and suck your sole out of your body" Carly said making it sound as scary as possible.

"That is not true" I told my friend Carly. My friends are sleeping over my house for the weekend. I brought a bowl of popcorn and grapes into the room a few minutes ago.

"Yeah it is, Rachel" she replied painting her nails a hot pink. I rolled my eyes.

"People do it all the time, and are they dead? No" my other friend Sarah said.

"But that's the thing, they disappear first. Then they die" Carly said "You dont hear any screams when they die either"

"Your point is?" I asked

"You guys only seen it on the internet, you have never actually done it" Carly said.

"Have you done it?" I asked

"No" she replied

"How about you do it to prove to us that shes real" Kayla said

"Yeah, show us that Annette is real" I put a grape in my mouth.

"Alone?" Carly asked

"Yeah. Well unless you scared" Sarah said

"Do it with me" Carly looked around the group

"Fine" Kayla stood up

"But when we prove that Annette is not real, dont get mad and try to leave" I stood up following Kayla to the bathroom. I fixed my hair putting it into a poinytail and they did the same.

"Okay, our hair is in poinytails" Kayla said

"Are you guys ready?" Carly asked. We nodded. I looked in the mirror. To be honest this scared me. But I wasnt going to show my weakness. The sooner I prove that Annette isnt real the sooner ill be out of this bathroom. Carly turned the lights off and closed the door. All of us started to chant.

"Annette Annette are you there? Annette Annette are you there?" nothing happened. We tried again.

"Annette we have your baby boy, Annette we have your husband too" still nothing. I turned the lights back on.

"Nothing happened" I said "I knew it wasnt real"

We heard a loud noise. It sounded like someone with long nails started scratching at a chalk board. Once it stopped we looked at eachother.

"What the hell was that?" I asked

"I dont know but-"

"Wait, wheres Carly?" Kayla asked. I frowned just noticing she was missing. The lights started to flicker. I frowned. The lights stopped flickering and flicked back on.

"That was weird" Sarah said. The water turned on then off. I frowned again. I heard a door slam and I jumped.

"Okay seriously Carly this isnt funny" I yelled.

"You guys think shes doing this?" Kayla asked

"Yes" we replied

I opened the door and walked into the hall. "She probably snuck out, when we started chanting" Sarah said.

I walked into my room, checking in the closet but she wasnt there. We walk downstairs and check in places she could probably fit in. But she was no where.
