Sooyoung stared at the file that layed beneath her arms. Hours have passed since she began to investigate and it was safe to say she was stuck.

Beside her, Doyoung and Johnny sat with the same tired expression Sooyoung wore.

"This is the epitome of mission impossible." Doyoung sighed as his fingers continued to touch against the keyboard.

"I mean is it possible that we just like-kind of..push them together..you know.. physically?" Johnny spoke.
Rest assured he was successful in confusing the other two.

"What are you talking about?" Sooyoung asked, puzzled.

"Right. I have no idea what I'm talking about. Crap, dont listen to me." Johnny said as Sooyoung simple chuckled.

"Well we could like- I guess use the powe-" Doyoung began.
"Oh please that's not neccessary." Johnny shook his head.

Both Sooyoung and Doyoung looked up as Johnny turned his computer screen to face them.
"We dont need to do anything." He smiled proudly. "It's happening soon."

~

"Weird right?" Jia suggested. "I mean this guy just came in last night in a rush to give those flowers away. There were soo many attractive women inside the cafe yet he chose to give them to me."

"Aw you must be so in love right now." Yerin smiled.

"I mean what if he's my soulmate. Crap...what if he's my future-"
"Oh quit that crap." Taeri scolded them.

"Oh dang someone woke up bitter today." Soyeon spoke, as she smoked her ciggarette.

"Well she's going through something so cut her some slack." Jia replied.

"Not to mention, its going through the something she wouldn't be going through is she only started looking for her soulmate." Hera commented.

"I mean Tae, I love you and all but you have to stop contradicting your fate. Its simply unhealthy." Hera looked at Taeri who simply stayed silent.

"No offense but you like went through the same thing with Taeyong right, like- you hated the whole soulmate idea and then blah, blah, blah shit happened and then boom, you fell in love; eventually." Hana looked at Hera who rolled her eyes.

"Yes, but that's not the point." Hera said. She walked towards Taeri who confidently held a glass of wine in her hands despite her deadly silence.

"You should really go out more. Maybe that way you'll be able to increase your chances of running into your future soulmate without much trying." She suggested.

Taeri only looked at her and forced a sly smile on her face.
"I can't promise anything, after all, it's not like I'll die if I dont find the person."

"Right. You wont, for some time. But he will." Areum spoke.

The only time the youngest female alpha demon opened her mouth, and yet she managed to announce news that would make their jaws fall agape.

~

It was late in the evening as Jisung sat alone in his bedroom. His back against the headboard as droplets of water fell from his soaked jet black hair.

Jisung sighed as his eyes met the sight of the mark that rested on his hand. All day long, the alpha tried his best not to catch a glimse of the mark as it would only make him overthink the whole soulmate crap he greatly disliked.

But now that he accidentaly caught a glance, his thoughts began.

There the demon alpha sat in pure silence as the rest of the life in the home had been killed by the immense exhaustion they felt after the day had gone.

So there it was. Pure silence. Lingering calmly like the dust on an old, untouched bookshelf.

Jisunt hated the sound of silence. But he was too deep in thought he coulds manage to do anything about it.

All that was in his mind was his soulmate.

Where exactly could this person be?

Jisung had all of the questions in mind and it kept him awake for quite some time.

He just didnt get why he needed a soulmate when he was okay himself.

He thought,

He didnt need anyone else to guide him, to help him, more so to love his already cold and dead soul.

What effect could his soulmate possibly have on his life?

~

"Omooo this is perfect ackkk!!" Sooyoung exclaimed.

It was 3am in Kwangya and Sooyoung finally found something that would keep her awake until her job was done. Metaphorically speaking.

Her loud exclaim caused Johnny and Doyoung to look up. The two had already been in a slumber hours before but inevitably had woken up because of Sooyoung.

"What!? Did you find something?" Johnny asked as he stood up from his seat and peaked from behind Sooyoung's shoulder.

"Not really but it's so much better! Jisung is on his way to the cafe!" Sooyoung smiled happily as she looked at Johnny who looked confused.

"And?"

"Reminder, he doesnt know anything about how things are actually done in the matchmaking department." Doyoung sighed.

Johnny nodded his head in agreemeny before turning to face Sooyoung.

"Jisung is on his way to the cafe and what does that have to do with- oh shit!" He stopped, his jaw fell agape and Sooyoung simply smiled.

"No, I'm wrong, there's no way-"

"Nope! You're absolutely correct."

They stared at the matchmaking tracker that was displayed beneath them. Staring in awe as the two red dots beeped continously and the gap between the two slowly shorten.
