You move in across the street from the chaotic Gallagher house. Your dad died while on the job when you were 8 and your mom was a stay at home mom so your guys income was gone. You guys ended up moving to a cheap apartment and started living paycheck to paycheck for years, during this time you had to find away to make money and help with bills, by 11 you were robbing houses and gas stations. By 13 you were on the corner selling weed. You told your mom you were working a job and somehow believed you. At 14 you and your mom got kicked out of your apartment. Your mom had a week's eviction notice so had to make a decision quick. Your mom ended up buying the cheapest house she could buy on the south side of Chicago. You didn't care about leaving that last dump and you knew you could make enough money on the south side to buy you and your mom whatever you guys wanted. Your mom was very anxious to move to this side of town knowing how dangerous it was. She was all you had and you wouldn't let anything happen to her.
( I just want to mention that some things that happened in season six like them getting kicked out of the house I won't be including because it's just to difficult to add that into the story. Also nick is in the story but won't be mentioned a ton because he was around a lot in season 6 but it would be very difficult to have to put him in every situation in this story.)
