Chapter 10-A Shocking Discovery and A Life Decision

Amy waited in front of Knuckle's hut with Sonic by her side.The two were kinda ichy,thinking about the meeting.After a few minutes,Rouge emerged in a business looking outfit which was a black pencil skirt and a white blouse that buttoned up.Amy also wore a business like outfit along with the guys who however didn't wear pants.

"Are we ready?"asked Rouge who soothed down her skirt.

Knuckles came behind her,"Ready."

Tails and Sticks soon joined as well.Sticks was wearing her hair down and appropriate clothing that didn't show her stomach(much to her dislike)She actually looked like a young innocent girl.Tails didn't wear his goggles and wore a blue nice jacket instead.The six of them headed to meh burger and saw Luna and William sitting at a table.

"Whoa..."Sonic said silently.

Amy looked over at him and glared as he was looking at the wolf.She hit him as he laughed sheepishly.Luna looked over at him and nodded.Rouge nodded back and led the group toward her.

"Good afternoon,"said William,"I am William."

"Heheh,he talks with an accent,"Knuckles chuckled.

Everyone looked at him as Rouge silently facepalmed.

"Anyway,I am Luna the wolf.Agent of G.U.N,much like Rouge,"she introduced herself.

Sonic grinned,"Hey.I'm Sonic.Sonic the hedgehog."

"And I am Knuckles.Knuckles the echidna."

"Tails ma'am."

"Sticks."

Rouge took control of the situation and sat down,looking at Luna."Ok Wolfie,now what?"

"Tell me everything."

"So this is the island?"asked Luna.

They arrived at the island after the meeting.Sonic explained everything and now Luna had to investigate.Ashes and black everywhere.Most everything was burnt down,most trees were an ugly ashy color.Rouge and Luna led the group through the jungle(or what's left of it)and found the rock dome like before.It looked exactly the way they left it,only now covered in ash.

"Here?"asked Luna.

They nodded.William quickly pulled out a flashlight and handed it to him.Walking in,she flipped on the switch.They followed her,Rouge and William were by her side,Knuckles was behind them.Sonic and Amy walked side by side behind him while Tails and Sticks were behind them all.Luna looked around until she saw light in the distance.Glancing at Sonic,she turned her head slightly.

"You did say that there was no other way to get in right?"she asked.

He nodded,"Only the entrance."

Luna turned back and flashed her light on the ceiling.Letting sunlight flood in was a gaping hole in the rock ceiling.She put her hands on her hips.

"That wasn't there before,"Sonic said quickly.

William quickly pulled out a notebook and began writing stuff down.Luna flashed the light on the ground to only find ash.

"No bones.No decaying body.No pieces or limbs of a body.No clothing or material.Just a huge hole in the ceiling,"She said as William wrote it all down.

The group looked at one another before looking back at the wolf.

Luna cleared her throat,"It's obvious now.Shadow escaped through this hole."

"You mean..."Amy trailed off.

"Shadow's still alive..."Rouge finished in a whisper.

"We've got all our information.For now,William and I will stay here until Shadow the hedgehog is found,"Luna decided.

And with that the group went back to the boat.Silently they headed home to their island.Sonic began to worry as he sat next to Amy.That means Shadow's still alive.Who knows where he could be right now,what he could be doing was more the question.Could he be seeking his revenge?Even said he wanted to kill Amy to make Sonic weak.Could he be planning on trying to kill her again?He looked around nervously until his eyes fell on his girlfriend.

Her quills were gracefully whipped around by the wind,her emerald eyes burned with determination and bravery.Her bottom lip was carefully tucked underneath her top teeth.Sonic sighed at her beauty.He loved her dearly and never wanted to let her go.

'Dude you know there's a way to do that.'

Sonic held his breath.The thoughts of marriage returned again.No matter how hard he tried to push away the thoughts,they would just pop in again.
He loved her but...oh he didn't know.He was confused.And stressed due to the fact that Shadow might be hunting down his girlfriend.Sonic shivered at the thought.If he wanted to get married,he would have to at least wait for the Shadow thing to be over with.

Then again,it may go on for a while.Who knows for how long.He just didn't know if he was ready for marriage...But then again who is?
He looked at Amy again and smiled softly.After a minute of staring,a thought quickly came to mind.He wanted Amy to be happy.And if marriage made her happy,so be it.All he cared about was her.And her happiness.

Sonic loved her with all his heart,and he didn't want to make her wait forever.

His eyes lit up and it was like the answer was obvious.He would do it.....

He would ask for her hand in marriage.

But how?
