 the story is about how nightmare deals with his mental problems and swad controlling him. in this version of swadmare, swad and nightmare are almost at equal power and the only reason nightmare got controlled was because swad tricked nightmare. because nightmare got trick, nightmare got a collar that can be controlled by swad to be invisible to whoever or to hurt. however the most dangerous part is that it can explode, killing nightmare. 

fortunately they are others at play in the story. althought swad may not love nightmare and is using him to do his biding or play thing, error and killer loves nightmare deeply. 

killer is the one that tries to make the people surrounding him believes in nightmare and helps him. in a way you can call so helps nightmare socially. killer is a ships that doesn't show up often but when it do, it is mostly killer seeing behind the mask nightmare puts on. the ship is almost like how a killer is a loyal servent to nightmare

and it is not about how nightmare makes killer emotionless, it is more like killer likes/feels strangely protective of nightmare, changing so that nightmare would not hate him. 

killermare relationship, you can say now is like a one side relationship.

error cares and loves nightmare. however he have thought of whether nightmare feels the same. in the story is be how error loving nightmare, doubting, trying to get over nightmare, hating nightmare and much more. this thoughts are mostly because swad controlling nightmare and error beliving nightmare loving swad more than him. with this type of thoughts error would compare himself with swad, as to see who be a better boyfriend.

the different between both is when error confronts of nightmare problems, he is persistence. but for killer, he would confronts nightmare of his problem, but if nightmare doesn't want to say he wouldn't persist.  

endings :

nightmare ends swad

"aww~ was this your beloved?" 

a lifeless body stood there, blue strings litter the ground but all nightmare could do was watch the dead burn body that stood on the ground.

"soon you be with him too!" swad clasp his together, his sickening smile always plastered on to his face like a permanent tattoo.

nightmare collar began to glow as swad began to sent explosive positivity, yet nightmare stood there still silent.

swad couldn't see nightmare face, but for a glimpse he could see nightmare face morph in to a terrifying smile. 

black goop began to drip rapidly. what use to be the smaller being began to look monstrous and huge. you could barely see nightmare features, only seeing a dark fog with a creepy smile lurking from it.

'"w-what...?" swad stood back, if you look closely for a second, you could see swad confuse and terrified face.

as much as swad body wanted to stay frozen, his mind knew it shouldn't be.

the collar that use to be a glowing teal was now full on black, seeing this swad began to put his full power to fight back, trying to over power the other to maintain the control over nightmare collar, yet he couldn't. 

swad quickly let go the collar as he saw it began to spread towards the hand he was holding with, and as he did so the collar and chain became fully black before shattering into tiny places.

with shock and anger filling swad veins, he knew he was over powered, trying to neotigate was the only option.

"hey, i am sorry for what i have done! will you just let me go? after all an eye for an eye would make the whole world blind wouldn't it?" swad half heartedly tried convincing
