after nightmare choose to focus more on taking over the multiverse than for dream soul, and it worked. dream was captured, but thanks to the help of error. he was able to escape and hide without anyone knowing.
for nightmare, he had thought dream had died, due to this he realise he had loved dream. in the end he will do anything to bring him back
