Collei

Collei was enjoying her time at the arcade. She saw Cyno trying to teach Tighnari a game, and laughed. Tighnari was basically failing in so may ways possible.

"It's not that hard Tighnari." Cyno patted Tighnari on the back.

"It's not hard for you," Tighnari said, clearly having a hard time with a simple game.

"I could tell you a few jokes if you want me to cheer you up." Cyno smiled. Tighnari looked like he was about to slap him.

"Please don't." Tighnari rubbed his forehead.

"Why is it always hot in the corner of a room?" Cyno had an evil grin on his face. Tighnari didn't respond.

"Because it's ninety degrees." Cyno wheezed at his own joke. Collei couldn't stand listening to his jokes. She covered her ears and walked in the other direction, weaving through crowds. The memories of Cyno's bad jokes clogged Collei's head. She enjoyed the time she had to herself. It was peaceful.

Wouldn't it be nicer to spend a weekend in a beautiful garden? As the thought occurred to her, she ran into a wall. That's embarrassing. She looked around, hoping no one had seen that. She explored the Arcade a little more before arriving back at where she started.

Tighnari was on his knees, plugging his ears, begging for Cyno to stop telling him jokes. A few people surrounded them, recording the nonsense.

"Collei!" Tighnari called out to her. "Help me!" Collei froze. Cyno looked up at her, an evil grin crossing his face. Tighnari looked to Cyno.

"Collei." Tighnari looked like he'd been tortured by Cyno and his jokes. "Run." Collei darted away from Cyno and Tighnari.

"Collei, I was reading a book about anti-gravity." He followed her. "I couldn't seem to put it down." Collei picked up her pace and faked a laugh.

"Hahaha... good one Cyno." She turned a corner and disappeared from his sight.

Why does he even tell those jokes anyway? Collei thought. Just then she'd run into someone.

"Oh, I'm so sorry." Her position turned into one of self protection, like a small animal.

"Collei? What are you doing here?" A cheerful voice asked her. She looked up, her face growing warm.

"A-Amber!?" Collei's eyes widened. Amber gave a lighthearted laugh when she saw Collei's cheeks getting pink.

"It's good to see you." She put her fists on her hips.

She always has such a confident pose. Collei thought.

"You look stiff." She tilted her head. Collei noticed her stiff and uncomfortable looking position.

"Oh, well... it's just how I look when I apologize." She lowered her, trying to relax a little bit.

"You don't need to apologize. I'm happy I ran into you today." She took Collei's hand. "Follow me." She dragged Collei through the arcade and towards the back.

"Where are you taking me?" She tried to pull away. "Wow... nice grip..."

"You'll see. It's an exciting place." She continued to pull Collei around.

"Shouldn't I tell Cyno and Tighnari where I am?" Collei was getting concerned. "You're kind of hurting me."

"No need to worry about that. We're here." Amber let go of Collei's wrist and smiled.

"What the hell!?"
