Let's Just Talk

Aiden's POV

Me and Tyler have been talking for a while now, its past midnight I am assuming. "What about Mr. Shafer, Did you like his class?" He asks. "Shafer, Nah He sucked he talk and talk and talk" I said with an eye roll. "I know right, he always sculled my class for no reason"

"I hated it when he scolded us" I said with a laugh. "Well, I guess now we don't, have to worrie about that now...." He says his smile slowly faded. I feel my smile fade as well. "My sister" He starts but does not finish. "I had a twin sister that went to our school" he says.

"She would have made it out alive, but she sacrificed herself for some random kid." He said looking down. I looked at him then looked down to the bed "I lost my cousin, The Exit Was right there, but a semi-truck came.... We would have both died, but-" I could not finish the sentence.

We sat in silence for a few minutes. "Did you have a partner?" He asks. I looked up at him, He looked tired, scared, but also sad. I nodded my head "A Girlfriend, her name was Ashlyn" I said, He looked at me confused "Ashlyn Banner?" He asked. "Um Yeah, how did you know?" I asked very confused. "That was my sister best friend" He said with a small smile "She was over at our house ever now then" "Wait who is your sister?" I asked. "Her names Taylor" he says quietly

"No way, so you're the grumpy brother she's always taking about" I said with a smile. "Ye- Wait she said that?!" He said sounding offended. I just stared at him, he looked just like her but if she had short hair, I looked down, "You, ok?" He asked, I could feel tears start to form in my eyes. "They're gone now...they're not coming back" I said the realization final hitting me, and from Tyler's face, it just hit him as well.

TYLERS POV NOW

Aiden sat in front of me, head hung low, but he was right. Taylor's gone, and so is Logan, Ashlyn, and Aidens' cousin (he does not know his name yet), so what is the point anymore?

"You know, I don't know why I saved you" I admitted, "hm?" Aiden replied confused. "I passed by my teammates, my friends but I didn't bother save any of them, my only focuses were getting Taylor out of there"

"Then why?" He asked "I think- No it's because Taylor had died moments before I found you, she saved one random kid, but they died a few minutes after, then I saw what your cousin did to save you, I just couldn't leave you" I said not looking up. "Ben, my cousins name is Ben" he says

I have lost my sister, my mother and boyfriend, but somehow, I made a new friend, and who knows how much longer we are goanna be here for but however long I am glad it is with someone I can tolerate....

TIME SKIP TO A FEW MONTHS LATER.

"AIDEN YOU PICE OF SHIT WAKE UP" I said throwing a pillow at him "WHAT?!??" He said as he jolted up from the bed, "THE FUCK YOU MEAN WHAT? YOU FROGOT TO PUT THE FOOD AWAY!" I yelled back "ITS STILL EDIBAL YOU KNOW" He yelled back "OH MY LORD YOU'RE THE WORST THING TO EVER WALK THIS PLANTE" I screamed "OH THATS FUNNY I THIUGHT THAT WAS YOUR ROLL!" He exclaimed "OH YOU KNOW WHAT" I leaped outer to him

Ok so maybe we do not always get along but at the end of the day, he the only person I have left....

"Tyler?" Aiden says, "yeah?" I answered, "you still have your school bag with you right?" He asks "um yeah it's over there next to yours" I said pointing to our dirty backpacks that were in the corner of the room.

"What class did you have before all of this?" He asks, "You mean the class I was in?" I asked. He nods. "I Was at lunch with Taylor and Ashlyn" I said. "What about you?" I ask. "English with Ben" he says quietly.

It gets quiet again. "Did Ashlyn and Taylor ever talk about me?" he asked. "You? Let me think" I said pausing. "I mean They Proloy did a lot, but I didn't really hang out with them, but I do remember one time, it was the night right before everything happened"

Flashback Time (Taylor's POV)

(FYI. This is not goanna be a happy conversation)

Me, Ashlyn, and Tyler sat in my room, Tyler on his Bunk, Me on a bean bag and Ashlyn on the other bean bag.

"Hey, Taylor" Ashlyn says looking over at me, she did not look sad or happy but had a blank face on. "Yeah?" I ask. "I think- I think I'm goanna break up with Aiden After school tomorrow" she says. "What, why?!" I half asked half screamed. Tyler looked over interested.

"Taylor" She looks at me then at Tyler. "Let's talk about this outside." Ashlyn said as we both got up and walked outside.

End of flashback

Tyler's POV

"Um Well, it wasn't really good"

Aiden looks at me with a questioning face. "What does that mean?" He says.

"She said she was goanna break up with you, after school, the day that it all went down." I said looking him dead in the eyes, He didn't look hurt or shocked. "Yeah, I kind of saw that one coming"

"Really?" I spoke. "Yeah, I mean I told her about me being Bi and I don't think she took it too well" he said trying not to make eye contact. "She dumped you cause your Bi?" I asked. And he nods "well that's a dumb reason, it's not like you were goanna cheat on her with a guy, it's not like you liking guys is goanna change anything" I said, He smiles at me.

"At least you understand" he says. "Well, we should go to bed, it's getting late" he jumps off the bed and walks to the corner of the room where there were two pillows and a blanket.

"Hey Aiden" I call out to him, he turns back. "Yeah?" I scoot over a bit. "You can sleep on the bed as well if you want" I said patting the spot next to me. He smiled and Grabed the two pillows and blanket.

"here" he said tossing me a pillow well walking over. Laying down next to me. "Here" he says again giving me half the blanket as he took the other half. We lay there in silence. "Goodnight" I say. "Night" he replies.

The bed was not big enough for both of us to fit, but we could still sleep comfortably. I could feel like body agents mine, our backs were turned agents each other so it wasn't awkward.

I close my eyes; Tomorrow will be another day.
