The Party

For the first time this week, Winter wasn't woken up by Naila. Once she was completely awake, Winter got out of bed and headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast. She sat down at he usual spot next to Theo, who was silently eating his toast.

''Good morning.'' He said, smiling at the girl.

''Morning.'' Winter replied.

''Are you going to the party tonight?''

''Yes.'' 

They ate in silence and then, Winter made her way to the library to study and do homework. When she arrived at the library, she was surprised to find Professor Riddle sitting at the front desk. When he heard her walk in, he looked up from his book and stared into her eyes. She stared back at him as she walked towards a table in the back. She sat on the chair, opened her books and began to study. A few hours had passed when Professor Riddle got up and walked towards the girl. Winter looked up at the man who was approaching her. 

''Good morning Winter.'' He said, hovering over her.

''Good morning, Mr. Riddle.''

''I just wanted to inform you that it's lunch time. If you wanted to take a break from studying, it would be a good idea to eat something.''

''Thank you.'' Winter said, looking into the man's eyes.

Professor Riddle nodded and walked out of the library, Winter following him from a distance. She arrived at the Great Hall and saw that Theo was already there, sitting at the table. She sat down next to him and watched Professor Riddle sit at the teacher's table.

''Where have you been?'' Theo asked Winter.

''I was studying at the library.'' She answered.

''Me and the boys are going to Hogsmeade after lunch. Wanna come?''

''Yes.''

''Good.'' Theo said, smiling at Winter.

They ate in silence and when the rest of the group was done, they headed out the castle and began walking towards Hogsmeade. They were soon joined by Adria, Pansy and Naila. While they were walking, Winter couldn't stop thinking about what happened at detention last night with Professor Riddle. Her heart was beating so fast as the images of him being so close to her were playing in her head. The man made Winter feel a way she's never felt before.

''Where's Mattheo?'' Adria asked the group.

''He's been avoiding us since Winter rejected him.'' Draco answered.

Blaise, Regulus and Theo laughed.

''Why did you reject him?'' Adria asked Winter.

Winter smiled at herself as she thought of Professor Riddle. Theo noticed her smile and gave her a ''what's going on'' look. 

''I had my reasons.'' Winter said, still smiling.

Theo grabbed Winter's arms and told the group they could catch up later.

''What are you doing?'' Winter asked, angry at Theo.

''Who is he?'' He simply asked.

''Who?'' Winter asked, confused.

''You clearly like someone, I saw your face when you talked to Adria. She asked you why you rejected Mattheo and you just smiled.''

''I was smiling because I was proud to have rejected him. You should know that.''

Theo groaned in frustration.

''Do you like someone?'' Theo asked.

''What's up with the questions, Nott?''
