P.O.V. Emily

After I met Trott and unpacked most of my stuff, Trott and Ross left, and I realized I had forgotten something. Well, two things. "Hey Alex? I just wanted to ask you how your not dead." A bit forward, but WYFN.

He stopped and looked at me, confused. "What do you mean 'how I'm not dead?' I've been here the whole time." And that's what got me.

"Really? Mom and Dad told me that you died in a car crash. He had a funeral and everything, nonreligious of course. I planned it." He scoffed.

"First of all, I was kicked out for some reason. Second of all, what song did you play?"

"Animal Jam's 'Geckos', of course. (It's a song about geckos, in case you couldn't tell.) There was no other song to play." He laughed, and I laughed along with him. It was great to find that he was alive after all these years. He was always such an awesome brother to me, especially when our other brother wasn't. If course he never was. He's a bit of a dick.

Once we calmed, he walked over towards me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "I have missed you so fucking much, my cool little Rain."

"Well, to avoid making things awkward, I'll lie and say missed you, too, Blacksmith." He looked at me, his eyes full of sadness. I smiled a toothy smile at him and shook off his arm, walking towards the kitchen. "I'm kidding. Now, it's time to be serious." I walked back over towards him and put my hands on his shoulders. Looking deep into his eyes, I asked a very serious question. "Do you have any bagels?" He cracked up and walked away, leaving me in the kitchen, stuttering, "It's a serious question!!"

I am back, and back with a short chapter! Sorry for the delay.
