The Enlistment

Chapter 18

Yoongi sighs. His break is over, he puts his phone aside. He has just read the announcement of the enlistment of the other members and knows that it will take not very long before everyone is gone.

After work, Yoongi quickly changes clothes and then drives to Jimin. When he walks in, he sees Jimin sitting on the couch, curled up in the corner with a tear-stained face and it breaks Yoongi's heart.

He knows how Jimin feels, after all, they have spoken a lot on the phone over the past 2 months and have also seen each other a few times. But the loss is great. And now they see each other even less. Fortunately, we know through Jin and Hobi that there can still be quite a lot of contact by telephone, so we will continue with that for the next year and a half.

He picks Jimin up bridal style and sits back on the couch with Jimin on his lap. His head leans against Yoongi's chest and Yoongi wraps his arms tightly around Jimin and kisses his head. Jimin stirs a little in his sleep, but doesn't wake up.

Jimin has a full agenda in the coming weeks with many shoots to leave everything behind for his fans. But he also has two trips abroad planned. One to Hungary and one to Japan together with Jungkook.

He will also probably spend a lot of time in the rehearsal room recording short dance videos, which will provide an outlet for his sad feelings. Of course Yoongi also watched them all and he especially liked the dance of "Stuck with you". He had told Yoongi beforehand that it was a dance he would dance especially for Yoongi and he felt honored. He is so proud of his boyfriend.

He is so proud of the Maknae line. All three have shown how good they are and each with their own style of music. And now it is time for a new journey in their lives, as Jungkook writes so beautifully on Weverse. It feels good that Jimin and Jungkook will go to the militairy together and use the companion system. Then they can at least rely on each other.

He looks at his Jiminnie. He loves him so much, he will miss him very much over the next year and a half. His phone next to him makes a noise and he picks it up to see who sent a message. It's Namjoon.

Namjoon:

"Hey hyung, where are you"

Yoongi:

"I'm with Jimin"

Namjoon:

"Oh, how is he?"

Yoongi:

"I don't know, when I got here he was lying on the couch."

"He hasn't woken up yet."

"Why are you texting"

Namjoon:

"I wanted to ask if you had time tonight

to go for a drink. And of course Jimin can too

come along if he wants."

Yoongi:

"I'll ask when he's awake."

"I'll just let you know."

Yoongi closes the app and puts his phone aside. He feels Jimin snuggle even closer to him and he feels Jimin's hand against his chest. He grabs his hand and looks at Jimin. He sees his eyes open and him looking up in surprise. Hey handsome, how are you," Yoongi asks. Jimin turns slightly and wraps his arms around Yoongi's neck. He buries his face in the side of Yoongi's neck and soon he feels Jimin crying.

Hey honey, please don't cry, we'll get through this and Yoongi wraps his arms around Jimin and ruffles Jimin's hair with one hand. He rubs Jimin's back with his other hand to comfort him. They sit like that for a while, until Jimin sits up and looks into Yoongi's beautiful eyes with his tearful ones. Yoongi holds his face with both hands and wipes the tears from his cheeks with his thumb. He gives him a kiss on the lips. "Relax love, everything will be fine. Before you know it it will be over and we will all be going on tour again, around the world," says Yoongi and Jimin gives him a small smile.

"I know Yoonie, but I can't miss you. It's already hard for me that I see you so little and when I'm at camp, I hardly see you at all anymore," Jimin sobs and Yoongi gives him a loving kiss on the mouth. Jimin kisses him back and they enjoy their love for each other. Yoongi pulls back and looks at Jimin. "I love you so much Minnie, never forget that and not a day will go by that I don't think of you," Yoongi says softly. "I love you too, very much," Jimin says and they give each other one last kiss.

Jimin snuggles against Yoongi's chest again and wraps his arms around his waist. "Namjoon just texted me while you were sleeping. He would like to have a drink with the two of us. Are you coming?" Yoongi asks and Jimin looks at him and nods. "Give me half an hour to freshen up and change clothes" and he walks to his bedroom. Yoongi quickly sends Namjoon a message that they will be there in half an hour.

When they arrive at their bar, they see Namjoon already sitting at a table. He's busy on his phone, but when he sees his friends, he shuts down and puts his phone on the table. "Hey, I'm glad you're here. Shall I go order something?" he asks and Yoongi and Jimin both nod. They sit down and wait for Namjoon to return from the bar with a tray full of drinks. "I just ordered everything, so take what you like," says Namjoon and he carefully places the tray on the table.

"How are you doing Jimin, are you looking forward to it?" Namjoon asks. "To be honest, no, but it's something that has to be done, so I'll be there too," Jimin says. "I'm afraid of what's going to happen and I'm just going to miss Yoonie very much," Jimin says while trying to hold back his tears.

"It's okay to let go, Jimin," says Namjoon. "We all know that you are having a hard time, we really notice that. The more you miss him, the more you talk about him," Namjoon laughs and Yoongi and Jimin laugh along with him.

"Know that we are all here for you, Jimin, you are not alone," says Namjoon. "Taehuyng an I will be somewhere else, but Jungkookie and you will be together, so you're not alone and you can text Yoongi every evening. It will be fine, before you know it it will be over, just look at Jin. He's been there for a year now, he only has six more months to go and then he'll be done and Hobi is also almost halfway done.

"We are a team Jimin. Together we will get through this," says Namjoon and at that statement they clink glasses together and toast the journey ahead.
