new year's eve special

a sunsun oneshot : not part of the plot.

"hyung, are you really sure you don't want to celebrate with us?" Jungwon asked for the nth time before sorting out his belongings, readying to leave.

"Yes won... Your parents will just serve me the whole time and I won't like it. Plus, isn't Jay hyung celebrating the new year's eve with you?"

"Yeah, he's bringing his dad to our house actually" the younger said bashfully, trying his best not to sound boastful.

Sunoo let out a sincere smile before ushering Jungwon out of his unit.

It didn't take long for Sunoo to let out a sigh and finally grabbed a beer inside his fridge. Zoning out, he heard his phone ringing.

"Hello?"

[Hey sun! Happy New Year!]

Sunoo chuckled upon hearing Heeseung's voice from the other line. It was a shame that he couldn't celebrate it with him.

The thought that there would still be next year was enough for him. It's not like it was new to him. He spent countless new year's alone and it was fine.

Both of them bid their goodbyes and greetings before ending the call with smile on their faces.

The lad started cleaning up after his drinks before laying down on his couch, admiring the city lights from outside his gigantic window.

The bell rung from outside, indicating that someone was currently at his doorstep. Annoyed, he made his way towards the entrance with heavy footsteps before looking at the peephole where he saw a lady, smiling fondly at him.

Sunoo was creeped out but nevertheless opened the door.

"Yes... may I help you?" Right after his response, the lady raised a cake box and a wine.

"Happy New Year Sun! You're really pretty huh?!" The first time Sunoo heard the greeting, he almost looked like a dragon ready to breathe fire.
