Dylan
"How was you guys' first day school?" My mother asked as we were in the car driving back to the house.
I was in the passenger seat this time with my head leaned against the window and Layla was sitting in the back. School was actually not that bad, I can't believe I met two people on the first day. It took a me a while to even talk to somebody at my old school.
"Oh my god school was so good! It's way bigger than our old school, and I made a lot of friends today, we're even planning on hanging out this weekend." She was so excited. I almost told her to shut the hell up but I didn't wanna sound like a hater.
"That's great sweetie I'm glad you had a good day and that you like the school. What about you Dylan?" My mother turned towards me and I let out a quiet sigh.
"It was okay, I met two people and got invited to a party later tonight."
"What? You talked to two people and got invited to a party." Layla said in disbelief but you can also tell she was tryna be funny.
I turned around to glared at her.
"Layla." My momma warned, giving her a stern look through the review mirror but she just shrugged her shoulders in response and pulled out her phone.
"Anyways, that's awesome. I'm so glad you made friends so fast at this school." She had a big smile on her face. My mom always wanted me to be more social like Layla but I never could. Whereas my dad, he doesn't care, as long as I'm okay, he's okay.
"I wouldn't say they're my friends." I mumbled to her. I literally just met them.
"Whatever, the point is you actually talked to more than one person on your first day."
"So when and what time is this party?" She asked me.
"Today, at 9:00."
"Today? On a school night? And not just any school night but a Monday." She looked confused.
I shrugged my shoulders. "You wanted me to be more social so that's what I'm trying to do." This would be my first party ever that I'm going to and although I'm not excited, I am curious to see what one is like in person.
"Yeah you're right. Just please behave yourself and you know not to stay out all night."
"Yes mother." I say sarcastically and sat the rest of the ride in silence as Layla and my mom continued to talk about school and other things.
Walking into the house I went straight into my room. I wanted to take a nap before I got to the party.
I'm glad my Dad was at work cause I did not want to explain my first day of school all over again.
I sat my bag in the corner of the room and threw my phone on the bed. I heard it ring shortly after I took off my hoodie.
I grabbed it confused considering the fact that I don't talk to nobody, even more confused when I saw that it was an unknown number.
unknown: Heyy it's Mya save my number me and Carter gon pick you up at 9:30
I forgot she had ask for my number at the end of the school day. It was honestly so much going on at that moment cause everybody was trying to rush out the building. I just wanted to give her my number so I can go.
me: ok
I'm not really a texter either.
I sat my phone down and laid in my bed, I got comfortable as sleep took over me.
...
I groaned as I tried to reach for my phone to shut the alarm off. Squinting trying to see the clock on my phone and saw that it was 8.
