DylanI'm pissed that it's only Wednesday, Friday needs to hurry up already.
I walked through the school doors, already wishing the day would end. To be honest I was still in a bad mood from yesterday after the whole thing with Marcus.
I didn't realize me asking him about Mya would make him that upset.
"Wassup bro." I turned to see Carter and Mya at my locker. I really wasn't in the mood to talk but I didn't want to be rude either.
"Hey." Mya said reaching in for a hug and I hugged her back. "I called you twice last night, you never answer the phone. What you gotta girl or something." She said jokingly.
I knew she was only joking but maybe I should take this moment to answer honestly, I can't keep it from them forever. I mean they're suppose to be my friends so they shouldn't look at me any differently right?
"I don't like- I'm not into-" It's like everytime I'm going to say it I cut myself off, the words just wouldn't come out. Mya and Carter were both looking at me confused like they were waiting for me to finish. I took a deep breath as I finally prepare to say the words.
"I don't like girls." Was all I could say. I immediately felt second hand embarrassment after. Who the fuck says 'I don't like girls' when coming out to somebody.
"As in you're gay?" Mya asked, and I saw her face fall for a bit but she tried to cover it quickly. I didn't say anything to her as I shook my head slowly waiting for them to react.
"Mann, I'm thinking you bout to tell us you killed somebody or something." Carter said like he was letting out a sigh of relief or something.
I just stared at him, my expression was blank. "I don't care about that, we still gon be yo friend regardless. You're still you." Carter said throwing his arm over my shoulder, smiling at me and I smiled back.
"Yeah, Im glad you were comfortable enough to tell us." Mya said giving me a small smile as she gently rubbed my arm.
I'm so glad they didn't react like most people would. At least I know they're really in it to be my friend.
