Chapter 7
*day of the dance*
I put my dress, curl my hair, do my make up (black eyeliner, mascara and deep red lipstick) and put on my mask. I look at myself in the mirror and for the first time I feel beautiful. I here a honk its Doug. I throw on my shoes and run out the door. I enter the car and see Sam, Megan and Doug. Locke and Justin are meeting us there, they want to be surprised by our dresses. "hey, you guys look gorgeous!" I say as I hug both of them, "Don't I look pretty?" Doug ask jokingly. We all laugh.
*10 minutes later*
"Here we are" Doug says as he parks. Megan, Sam and I walk out into the hall we see Locke and Justin standing there speechless. "Hey, you like it?" I ask Locke "Your stunning" he replies he picks me up and spins me as he kisses me. we both laugh and walk inside it dark but its sparking, almost enchanting. " want too dance?" Locke ask as he holds his hand out. "I would love to" I reply as I take his hand. we all dance to the song and sing along to the song beauty and a beat by Justin Bieber.
*about an hour later*
"do you want something to drink?" I ask Locke loudly so he can hear me over the music. " Sure, but one thing first" he replies "Wha-" he interrupts me with a long kiss we break and I smile and blush. I take my mask off and place it on a table. "can I have to cokes please" I ask the bartender "sure" he replies with a smile. he comes back with two glasses of coke I walk over to my spot on the dance floor to see Locke...kissing another girl. My world crashes around me, I drop both the drinks as Locke makes eye contact with me , tears stream down from my face as I run out. I try not to fall apart but the sinking feeling starts..
