This day 5 years ago I was babysitting Toby. Yet here I am, sat in the living room watching Toby play around whilst my father and my wicked stepmother are out with their friends. To this day I regret ever saying those words. Although I must admit I have this feeling inside of me which is telling me that I should regret not taking Jareths offer, even if it meant costing Toby his future. Sometimes I wish I could have a second chance with the goblin king.

It was almost midnight and my father still wasn't home, I thought I might aswell put Toby to bed. My stepmother had told me to put him to bed by 7, but wheres the fun in that?.

"Come on Toby, bed time"

I stood up from my chair and bent down to pick up Toby.

"No me want stay up!"

"No Toby, you need to sleep, you've stayed up long enough"

Toby stayed silent as I carried him upstairs. I walked into his room and placed him on his bed.

"Story?"

I sighed, I was tired yet I knew he wouldn't sleep if I didn't tell him a story.

"Alright then, it'll be a short one tonight Toby."

I sat down on a bean bag in the corner and began the story.

"Once upon a time, there was a beautiful young girl who's stepmother always made her stay home with the baby. The baby was a spoilt child who wanted everything for himself and the young girl was practically a slave. But what no one knew, was the king of the goblins had fallen in love with the girl, and he had given her certain powers. So one night, when the baby had been particularly cruel to her, she called on the goblins for help... until one night, she was tired of house work and she was hurt by the harsh words of her stepmother, did she finally say the words."

Toby had fallen asleep already. I stood up and walked over to the door and stood there for a second. I turned and looked at Toby.

"I wish I had a second chance with the goblin king"

I turned of the lights and walked out the door. I couldn't help but think back to the night where I said those words, I almost starting tearing up at the thought of it. I'm like a mother to Toby now, I couldn't ever do that to him again.

I walk back into my room and switch on the lights, I stand there shocked, bewildered of what lay in front of my eyes. The owl. The white and brown owl with the same mysterious eyes as him. The owl was on my window sill. Waiting for me.

I blink for a second and the lights switch off and the man I'd been dreaming of for the past 5 years was standing infront of me. I was speechless.

"Hello, sarah"

"Your back? Why?"

"You asked for me, didn't you?

"Well yes I did but I didn't expect you to come, wait, are enough here for Toby? I won't let you have him!"

Jareth began walking towards me, I stepped back but my door hit my back, even though I'd left it open. Jareth walked so close to me I could feel his breath on my face, I couldn't help but blush a little. Luckily for me it was dark, so he couldn't see.

"Sarah, I didn't come for Toby. I came for you"

"Me? Why me?

"I'll give you a second chance, as you wish, only on one condition"

"Whats that? I'll do anything please I don't want to stay here"

"Be careful what you wish for Sarah. You said that last time and yet here we are"

"I mean it this time! But i guess I'm like Tobys mother, I've always been there for him unlike my stepmother"

"I know, lovely Sarah, I've been keeping a close eye on you"

All of a sudden the door behind me dissapears and I fall back quickly closing my eyes, only I haven't fallen onto the floor. Jareth had his hand layed on my lower back, holding me up. He pulls me forward, bringing me closer to him, our lips were almost touching yet he was maintaining eye contact.

"Toby comes with"

My eyes widen with shock and disbelief.

"Well how will I know your not going to harm him?"

"I only want you Sarah, I only ask for Toby because I've seen what your like with him, he'd be lost without you"

"Now why do you care about Toby feeling lost without me?"

"Because I feel lost without you, and I know it's not nice"

Jareth let's me go, I didn't really want him too, I've been craving his touch for 5 years.

"Now be a good girl and go get Toby and come back here, and don't try anything stupid"

"I won't, you clearly don't understand how much I want to go back with you"

I walk off down the corridor towards tobys room, I open the door gently and walk over to the bed and slowly pick Toby up. I start singing a soft lullaby just to keep him asleep, I sway side to side whilst doing so. When I'm finish, I turn around and jump a little as I find the goblin king staring at me, with a little sparkle in his eyes.

"How long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough"

He smiles at me softly and walks over to me.

"Its nice to know you remember that song I sang to you that night"
(As the world falls down)

"I will admit, it's become one of my favourite songs"

"I'm glad, anyways, it's about time we go. My kingdom is waiting for its king and queen to return"

A second goes by and where back in the throne room of the castle. I look around and reminisce everything. As I'm looking around jareth speaks up.
