chapter 4

Sarah's POV:

Jareth carried me through his Chambers and into mine, that's where I saw Oxxer playing gently with Toby. Jareth placed me down and Toby saw me and ran to me screaming a word I never except.

"MUMMY!!"

I was speechless but picked him up anyways, then when he saw Jareth he said something that made me blush immensely

"Daddy!!"

"OH my god."

I turned to look at Jareth and started questioning him.

"Did you tell Toby to call us that?"

Jareth looked at me and Toby and smirked.

"I did"

"Why though?"

"Well he isn't going to be seeing real mother any time soon, so he might aswell, and me of course"

I smiled at Jareth, still a little stunned. I began walking over to Toby Chambers as Jareth followed, oxxer left us be aswell. I placed Toby on his bed and tucked him in.

"Night Toby, love you"

Toby giggled and smiled at me.

"Night mummy, Night daddy"

I turned around and turned the light off, I took Jareths hand and guided him out into my room.

"I suppose I must sleep aswell then"

"Indeed"

Jareth pulled me in and kissed me passionately, he then let me go, even though it seemed he didn't really want to.

"Goodnight Jareth"

"Goodnight, my dearest Sarah"

Jareth left and closed the curtains behind him. Whilst laying there I realised I never thanked Jareth for tonight, I'm gonna thank him tomorrow. I fell asleep soon after.

When I woke up, the sun was rising. I heard Toby giggling in the other room, I thought that oxxer was in there feeding him so I started to get ready. I looked into my wardrobe and found a beautiful emerald green dress, with flowers, which were a slightly lighter green. I put it on thinking that nobody was in the room with me. My hair was down with 2 green clips on the side, just next to my face. I walked over to my mirror to look at it and my heart dropped when I saw Jareth stood leaning against the doorframe to Tobys room, staring at me with a smirk on his face.

I turned around immediately, my face beginning to go red.

"How long have you been standing there?"

Jareth began to walk over to me, it seems as though we were matching as Jareth had an emerald green waistcoat with a lighter green pattern following around the entire coat. He had black leggings on, the same ones as last night I guessed, a long with a pear of Dark brown and green cowboy boots. It seems this man has a thing for cowboy boots, I will say they do suit him.

Jareth got really close to me yet again, just enough so I could feel his warm breath on my face.

"Long enough, Sarah"

"I didn't realise you were the one in there with Toby"

"Well he doesn't giggle like that when he's with oxxer"

I smiled, I put my hands around Jareths neck.

"I suppose so"

I kissed Jareth passionately until I heard Toby running out his room. I parted my lips from Jareths and walked around him to Toby. He was wearing an adorable little emerald green jumpsuit. I picked him up and swung him around and smiled.

"Looks like were a family matching today"

Jareth stood there and smiled at Toby and I.

"We best get off to breakfast"

I agreed and followed Jareth towards the throne room where around 12 goblins were sat messing around. Jareth walked over to his Throne, but before sitting down he summoned a crystal ball and threw it as his throne. Immediately his throne extended to fit two people and a small baby. I smiled at Jareth and walked over to sit down. He sat down and I followed, placing Toby between us.

We were talking and around 5 minutes later, breakfast arrived. There were 3 trays. Two with normal food and 1 with a few cheerios and strawberries. I giggled at Toby plate and Jareth looked at me confused.

"How did you know Toby likes cheerios?"

Jareth smiled and chuckled a little.

"Like I said, Sarah, I've been keeping a close eye on you"

I smiled and tucked into my breakfast which was just a few pancakes drizzled with golden syrup and strawberries, blueberry and bananas on top. I've recently learned food in the castle is to die for!

Toby made a quick mess of his food so once I finished my food I had to help Toby eat his. Soon after I'd finished my food, Jareth finished his, he sat back in his chair and watched me feed Toby, as Toby was still incapable of eating food normally, which I would say is unusually for a 6 year old, almost 7.

Eventually we all finished our food and I took Toby and placed him on my lap, messing with him gently.

"Sarah?"

I looked up at Jareth who was still looking at me and Toby, admiring us both.

"Yes Jareth?"

"I'm having a ball tonight, as I do every month. I'd like you to accompany me, I can assure you that Toby will be safe and cared for within the few hours we will be gone"

I smiled at Jareth, Toby messing with my hair.

"I'd love to!"

"I'm glad"

Around mid day I returned back to my room in order to prepare for the ball.

I enter my room and find a magnificent black ballgown waiting for me. (Tbh idk how to describe it so I'll show you)

I already knew I was going to struggle putting it on, so I called oxxer for help. I knew I could trust here. After at least an hour I finally got into the dress and oxxer tightened my corset for me.

Once again my hair was in a half up half down style, slightly curled with a black rose pin, centred just above the pony.

I had black boots on, with a small heel. They were covered in little black gems. I looked in the mirror and I was shocked by the person who was staring back. It was a much more grown up version of me, yet I loved it. By this time it was 5:30. Oxxer had wandered off a little earlier and she had just returned.

"Master waiting for you"

"Ah alright, please lead me to him, oxxer"

I will admit the dress was slightly hard to walk in but I managed.
