Down in the basement of an unknown building, noises were made. Banging, clanging, beeping,weeping...underneath the pipes and the wires was a body laying limp on a bed connected to the wires. Her face pale, her eyes green as clovers. Her short black hair sprawled all over the bed. She wore a small white dress, her nails painted a light shade of pink.

"She'll be done soon, she'll be finished and I'll have my family back again..."

Good news, Adrien was clocking in back to school. Bad news, Blythe wasn't. Well, sort of. She still came to school but she never talked anymore at all. And when she could, she'd scamper off somewhere to be alone. Marinette tried to talk to her but each time she would be shut down. At the cafeteria:

"Hi Blythe about our last conver..."

Blythe sped past her to the exit.

During the group projects:

"Hey Blythe turns out we're part-"

Blythe walked past her up to Ms Bustier and in a few minutes walked out of the room. Ms Bustier walked to Marinette and smiled apologetically. "Sorry dear but Blythe had to go to an emergency appointment' she just forgot to tell me...you'll have to continue on your own."

Blythe avoided everyone especially Marinette like the plague. Marinette now who was watching Blythe sitting at a bench while reading something looked upset herself now.

"Tikki, I so so so wanna apologise but how can I when she barely even looks at me?"

In a different corner Adrien sighed, gently opening his jacket letting Plagg out.

"I'm gone for basically a week and now Blythe's antisocial. I mean she wasn't the most social before but...I have to go talk to her."

Plagg nodded in agreement.

He walked to Blythe waiting for her to notice him.  When she did, she looked up and her eyes were completely voided.

"Blythe?"

"What?"

"You good?"

"Yep."

"You sure? You haven't been-"

"I'm fine."

"Ok...just know that-"

"'if I need you, you'll always be there.' I'm fine."

Adrien smiled gently before digging into his bag and offering her a chocolate bar. "Melifont, your favourite."

She gently took it and opened it before breaking it in half and giving Adrien his piece. "Here."

Adrien smiled before waving and walking off. Marinette sighed looking down her face in anguish.

Blythe looked at the chocolate.

"I...he's so sweet...and he doesn't know..."

Duusu, inside Blythe's pocket opened her mouth.

"That he's sweet?"

"No..I mean...that and," she started taking a small bite of the chocolate, "that his father's a monster...and his enemy...I...he needs to know!"

"Blythe-"

"As soon as possible, I'm going to tell him.."

"Would he even believe you?"

Silence.

"Ok so to summarise: There's a new hero, she knows all of our identities which means Hawkmoth would be after her....what else uhm...Chat Noir- he's no longer....ok Marinette what's wrong? Say something girlie!"
