annalise's pov i ask him as he comes back "what was that about?" he grins "just some business my love" i nod and he says "join me for a dance?" i nod with a grin and we set up accordingly and start to dance. our faces inches apart and i smile. he grins and spins me "i really like you annalise" i say "i'd hope so"
he replies "i never thought id find the person that'd complete me the way you do. the person that's made me want to court and be with someone all the time. but i did. in you..." he's talking as if he's about to propose. i've yet to tell him the truth as to what happened to me. i know he said he doesn't want children, but i physically cannot give him one. what if his mind changes?
i take his hand "i feel the same way. but we do need to talk" he nods and we step outside "what's wrong?" he asks. i say "there's something i haven't told you and i want to. especially if you feel the way you do and our relationship goes all the way" he steps forward "whatever it is you don't have to say anything until you are ready anna" stroking my face. i kiss his palm and say "remember when i said i can't have children"
he nods "of course" i tell him "i never said why" he says "if that's what this is about...don't tell me until you are ready for me to hear it" i take his arm in my grasp "im telling you so you know and can decide if you do want us" "i do" he says and i shake my head "you say you don't want children now...but what about in 2 years? 5?7? i can't bare if you come to resent me when i cannot get pregnant and you find some hope that i can" i say.
"i was out...free willed as always. ran into a man i knew. he and my father used to play cards together...i always said my fathers debt would come to bite him. and it did. that night. he grew tired of my father avoiding his debt. he and his friends took me after drugging me" i start. he pauses "annalise" "they beat and raped me to an inch of my life. and then they cut me open...i woke up bloody, stitched up and in my lawn...it was anthony who found me. after i was disowned and left as nothing. my season was over. my father died and my mother didn't allow me to go to his funeral" i say and wipe the tear that falls.
"if your parents knew...why would they do that to you?" he asks. i shake my head "i had just told them recently. the only person i told was our doctor. swore him to secrecy. i didn't want them to blame themselves." he nods and pulls me to his chest "i am so sorry that happened to you anna" he tells me "i was born and i killed my mother. my father abused me my entire life. on his deathbed i swore his line would die with him. i vowed to not take a wife or children." i ask "then why are we together simon? if you're this serious about your promise to him"
he replies "because i fell in love with you. you mean more to me than the males need to reproduce without a care in the world. annalise you are my world" my heart melts. he continues "if you cannot have children i do not want them and will never dishonor you by having an affair. ever." i pull him into a kiss and he pulls me closer. he mutters "marry me" getting on his knee taking out a gorgeous ring

he takes my hand "i love you" melting my heart. i say "i love you simon. yes i'll marry you" he slides the ring on my finger and kisses me deeply and i kiss him just as passionate
