"There's a legend that precedes the dawn of our civilization. A vile god, so large and so powerful that it consumes entire planets as fuel. Few believe such a thing could be true, until the day we saw Unicron with our own eyes"

A mechanical roar was heard. The giant planet-eater trespassed the planet's rings. Unicron launched capsules to the planet. Two of them were robot scorpions. The last one was a space ship. Once the objects crashed to the ground, the scorpions transformed with a trill and ran forwards.

"But he didn't just come for our planet. He wanted our greatest technology, the Transwarp Key"

The top of the space ship opened and moved back.

"And he sent his most powerful henchman to collect it, Scourge"

Scourge rose from the ship.

The scorpions were shooting their target as they ran as fast as they could, trilling as they did. Apelinq galloped away from them as he held the Transwarp Key in his mouth. He jumped and grabbed a branch to swing to the left. And he was galloping again. He was hit right under his shoulder. Apelinq roared and the Transwarp Key fell out of his mouth. Apelinq fell on his back. He turned to his side and his eyes went to the Key. The Key ringed. One of the scorpions made a trilling sound. Then a growl. The scorpion ran out of the forest and started shooting Apelinq.

There was a louder roar. Optimus Primal jumped out of the trees and landed behind the scorpion. He grabbed the scorpion from the tail and swung it around before slamming it to the ground with a thud. Primal reached for its head and ripped it off. He roared and beat his chest. He glanced over his shoulder. Another scorpion. Someone blasted it and it was exploited. From the smoke over the trees hovered Airazor. She screeched and landed on the dead scorpion. Cheetor and Rhinox came running out of the trees as well.

"More enemies are landing", Cheetor said. "We won't be safe for long"

"Do we have the key?", Airazor asked, folding her wings to her body. Apelinq walked over to the key and grabbed it.

"You must take it", he said as he turned to Primal and walked over to him. "Keep it hidden, so that it never falls into the hands of Unicron"

"But, Apelinq, we can fight", Primal said.

"No. Protecting our Transwarp Key is all that matters!", Apelinq said. He pressed the Key to Primal's chest. "Go. Use it to escape"

"What will you do?", asked Airazor.

"I'll hold him off", Apelinq said. "Buy you some time"

Primal held Apelinq's arm. "Then I'm staying with you"

Apelinq turned to look at Primal. "This is my fight", he said. "Listen", he continued, placing his hands on Primal's shoulders. "if Unicron were to get the key, he could open a portal through time and space with no end to the worlds he could destroy. It is now your time to lead the Maximals" Apelinq pressed his forehead with Primal's. "Optimus Primal"

Apelinq grunted as he stepped back. He stood in all four now, facing the forest. The others ran away. There was a faint orange glow deep in the forest. It moved forward. Apelinq separated his arms, a silver blade coming out from his arms.

"So you're this planet's great warrior", someone said. Apelinq growled. "Mmm. You have such a beautiful world filled with an abundance of life"

Apelinq growled again.

"Savory", Scourge said as he came into view, walking out of the forest. They started to walk in a circle. "My master grows hungry. Give me the Transwarp Key, and he will spare your home"

"We'd rather die than let him reach other planets", Apelinq said. Scourge sighed.

"So be it", he said and turned to him. His weird hand spun, an orange glow forming.

Apelinq stood on his legs and beat his chest, roaring. He charged him and pushed the spinning hand away from him. Scourge punched down on his head. Apelinq pushed Scourge from his side. He jumped in the air, ready to smash Scourge down. Scourge's blade came out from his arm. He stabbed it right into Apelinq's right side of his chest. Apelinq went limp but was still alive. He growled. Scourge's spinning hand spun faster and glowed brighter. He moved it to the other side of Apelinq's chest and blasted. A huge hole was now on Apelinq's shoulder. Apelinq groaned.

"Benefits of serving the almighty Unicron", Scourge said as he peeled off Apelinq's insignia from his other arm. Apelinq fell back. Scourge used a laser from his fingers to stick the insignia to his own shoulder. "They never learn"

"You're too late, Scourge", Apelinq said and groaned. "Your master will be trapped in this galaxy forever"

There was a pulse. An oval capsule was launched to the sky.

Scourge looked over as the capsule flew to the portal

Scourge looked over as the capsule flew to the portal. "No!"

"His sacrifice will be our oath", Airazor said softly. "To preserve the key, no matter the cost"

And the capsule was gone of that universe.

"You let them slip away with the Transwarp Key. Scour the universe and find where the Maximals have gone. When you acquire the key, use it to bring me to you"

"Yes, my lord", Scourge said as he rose from his bowing position.

"Once I have the key, I alone will reign supreme"

And the planet was never seen again.
