Chapter 1: Paige

It all started when I was working at the Cafe. It was supposedly a normal day, until I saw something I never thought I'd see again: A troll. She was stumbling around, trying not to get crushed by the passerby. She noticed me, and motioned for me to help. I hesitated, not wanting to embarrass myself, but I saw that if I didn't rescue her, she wasn't gonna make it out alive. So, I dove for her, and caught her in my hands just in time. I tried to ignore the other Rageons staring at me as I got up and peeked under my hand to see if the troll was okay. "Hi, um, are you okay?" I asked as I set her down on the counter. "Oh, yes, thank you." she said, standing up. "My name is Paige, Poppy's sister." My eyes widened. "The little pink troll has a-?" I asked, pointing at her. "Yes, she does. She apparently went on an adventure where she defeated you and your sister because you were torturing trolls. But you seem like an okay guy! She sent me here to 'check on you'." She finished positively. "Oh, um, actually I'm not an 'okay guy'..." I trailed off, "we did torture trolls, for fame. We wanted their singing abilities. And boy did we feel bad about it in the end! Actually, only I did..." "Oh..." Paige said quietly, looking down at the counter. "Well, we got what we deserved, sorta. We were both put in jail, and we both got out early, Velvet even earlier than me! She paid her way out, and sort of...abandoned me. And by the looks of it, she's lying herself to fame-again. And succeeding." I explained, leaning against the counter.

*Flashback*

I was leaning against the wall of my cell when I saw Velvet being taken out of hers by some guards, with no handcuffs. "Velvet?! Where are you taking my sister?!" I yelped as they passed by. "Well, your sister's being released early. Paid her way out." One of them explained. "V-Velvet...? What about me?!" I asked, desperate. She looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "Sorry, Veneer. But since you kind of betrayed me, I've decided to go it alone." she said, and turned her head. "Wha-? V-Velvet! N-No! Velvet! I'm sorry! No! C'mon, what happened to siblings forever?! Siblings-!" I yelped as I stretched an arm out of my jail cell. "...Forever?" I watched, shocked and miserable, as my sister disappeared through a door. She hadn't even looked back.

"Oh my glitter!" I heard Paige yell. "No one deserves to be abandoned, especially by their own siblings! Even you! Although, you did sort of commit a crime, but you regretted it, so STILL!" As she rambled on, I couldn't help but smile a bit. Even when they were angry, trolls seemed to spread happiness. "But it's okay! I'm living a decent life now. I have a job at this Cafe, and I'm living in a one bedroom apartment. So I'm okay. Except..." I trailed off. Paige frowned. "Except what?" "Except I feel there's something missing. I just can't put my finger on what the heck it is!" "Hmmm..." Paige hummed. "First off...LANGUAGE!! And second off, I think I might know what you need. I'm going to help you!" "Wha-? But don't you have things to get back to in your village?" I asked, confused. "Nope! I cleared up my schedule for the WHOLE week! There's no backing out of this because I've already decided to come back at this time tomorrow! BYYYYYYEEEEEEEE!!!" she yelled as she used her hair to make stairs to walk down to the Cafe floor. As soon as she reached the floor she ran out of the Cafe. I just stood there, dumbfounded. 'Wooow...' I thought as I went back to work. This was certainly going to be interesting...
