Prologue

This is literally just the bonus chapter from 20 CUBE, cause that's where this shii starts yk?

Jake and Heeseung were friends.

Maybe even best friends.

Jake never questioned that. Not until that night Heeseung got drunk and confessed. After that, he questioned everything.

Things he never thought he would question. He thought about a lot, but came back to the same conclusion.

Jake always thought he and Heeseung treated each other with equal admiration. If Heeseung acted like that while liking Jake... what did that mean for Jake?

Jake had dated before, sure. But he just never... felt anything for them.

He had never felt anything for anyone. But still, hearing Heeseung's confession made his heart speed up in an unfamiliar way.

Jake didn't like Heeseung... His heart sped up because it was so sudden. It was nerves, not desire. At least, that's what he assured himself. He ignored any strange thoughts that came to mind. It was just curiosity, not reality.

And Heeseung seemed to be okay with that. They were okay. They were still friends.

Friends, and nothing more.

Things were normal between them, until that night. The night Jake finally gave in to his intrusive thoughts.

Heeseung was snuggled in Jake's embrace, his head against his chest as he scrolled on his phone.

"Hee..." Jake whispers.

"Hmm?"

"Kiss me."

Heeseung smiles and leans up, placing a kiss against his forehead after moving his hair out of the way.

"Again."

Heeseung chuckles but does it anyway, placing one between his eyes. Jake slides his hand up Heeseung's side and grips his sleeves tightly.

"On the lips." Jake whispers. Heeseung freezes, staring in shock at the younger's request.

"Are you okay? Did you drink?" He asks, gently running his fingers through the youngers hair. Jake shakes his head and the way his eyes trail down to Heeseung's lips doesn't go unnoticed.

"I just...want to know what it feels like." Jake admits.

"You've never kissed someone before?"

"I have...but they didn't love me like you do." Jake says, looking back to Heeseung's eyes, "I want to know what it feels like to be kissed by someone who loves me."

"Are you sure?" Heeseung asks softly, touching Jake's bottom lip with his thumb.

It's soft. Softer than he had imagined.

"I'm sure. I'll allow it just this time."

Heeseung doesn't hesitate, he leans in and presses their lips together. The feeling makes him tingle, even though he knew Jake didn't feel the same. All these months...he's wanted to do this.

And now he finally was.

Their lips moved together slowly, hands gripping each other tightly as they were both a little nervous.
