Time: ~3days before the end of the academic year, Harry's fourth year

Honestly, I'm awful at timelines. SO: the whole tournament ended a month ago, the other schools left three weeks ago :))) NOTHING abt the tournament has changed. Cedric's dead, voldies back, all that jazz.

POV: Headmaster Dumbledore.

The old man sat in his office, a glint in his eyes which could only mean one thing: an idea. Hopefully one which would drag hogwarts back on the right path.

Hopefully, because right now the honourable school was in a state of absolute anarchy.

The sweet, caring house of the badger was almost at war with itself. A selection of students, primarily those who had donned the "potter stinks" badges only weeks earlier, now made it their mission to 'avenge' their unfortunate housemate, in their own twisted way. Their blind hatred covered how disappointed he would be if he saw them.

The witty, intelligent house of the eagle (?) was just as confused. They would host private debates and discussions amongst themselves, in a desperate attempt to get to the bottom of things. Was Voldemort back? No, he couldn't be, the boy who lived defeated him over a decade ago. But, why would Potter and Dumbledore lie? For once, the blue and silver ties couldn't find their answers.

The cunning, ambitious house of snakes. Perhaps they had been a target in the past- oh, how the roles had reversed over the previous couple weeks. The younger years tended to keep to themselves, almost scared it was too good to be true, but the fourth years and older revelled in their newfound freedom- even a few more confident third years joined them. No longer would the oh-so-intimidating Gryffindors pose a threat to their kind.

Finally, the brave, outgoing house of the lion. Though most held onto their red and gold ties with pride, many had taken to hiding in their common room and dorms throughout the school. Call it karma, but they refused to be around the Slytherins for any extended amount of time. Though, the common room often held screaming matches, so its popularity was decreasing. Many believed Dumbledore and their fellow housemate, but more desperately wished they were lying.

And so, Professor Dumbledore had to come up with a solution. House unity had always been a slight issue for hogwarts, but this was extreme. Maybe the old coot was finally seeing properly, or maybe it was blatant favouritism. Who knows?

There he sat, hands crossed together infront of his half-moon spectacles as his elbows came up to rest on the extravagant wooden desk before him.

Suddenly it struck him. House-unity. Ofcoarse! The four opposing groups of people were so separated by the buildings they were forced into over the previous years- ofCOARSE they would build their own mental walls. It only made sense to force them down now.

That's it. He would take a couple students from each house, selected by their head of year, and provide them with a place to stay for the summer.

He scribbled out four quick notes to Professors McGonagall, Snape, Flitwick, and Sprout, before sending his familiar Fawkes to deliver them.

Dear professor... McG/S/F/S

Please each select two students from your respective houses, one of each gender. Professor Sprout, I am requesting that you also find a random Muggle house address which is currently up for sale.

Present your students to me by the end of tomorrow, thank you.

Albus Wulfric Percival Brian Dumbledore.

Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Lord to the noble house of Dumbledore

'That'll do it,' he thought as he rose from his desk.
