Pov: Hermione Granger

Hermione and Ron made their way back to the Gryffindor tower in a somewhat angry silence. It wasn't until they made it to the moving staircases that the girl finally spoke up, "Did Dumbledore mention where we will be staying?"

Ron looked thoughtful for a second before he answered, "Nah, don't think so, why?"

"It just seems strange. The headmaster hasn't done this kind of thing before, even back in second year with the whole heir of Slytherin conflict. Why now?"

The bit only shrugged, as he began making his way up the old staircase.

"No really, think about it. And with Malfoy and Parkinson? And no Harry? It seems awfully set up."

"Eh, maybe we're staying near him? Quit worrying 'mione we'll be fine, if not a bit bored"

The pair made it to the common room and sought out their raven-haired best friend immediately.

Pov: Harry Potter

Nothing much ever happened near the end of the year. Harry often stayed in the common room or his dorm, he couldn't be bothered with the constant shouting of the other houses. Luckily his fellow housemates which didn't believe him mostly left him alone now, leaving him in a comfortable silence for the majority of the time.. if he could ignore the staring.

Ron and Hermione had been called up to Dumbledore's office around half an hour ago, so Harry stayed where he had been. On an armchair near the fire, his and Ron's discarded Wizards' chess board laying out infront of him.

It was only two days until summer now. Harry really didn't fancy another stay at the Dursleys, but it's not like he had much choice. He'd tried convincing Dumbledore to let him stay with the Dursleys but it never worked, and since Sirius was technically still wanted by the aurors, that was out of the question to.

Sirius. Harry had been thinking about his godfather quite a lot recently. Why didn't Dumbledore, or anyone else in a position of power for that matter, demand a trail? Had he not already told them that he never received one thirteen years ago? Surely everyone got one. I mean come on, twelve years locked away with dementors without any proof? That's crazy. How could the minister get away with this, and hide it so well?

Well, not everything can go smoothly, he supposed. He was still deep in thought when the portrait of the fat lady swung open, he didn't see his best friends until Ron threw himself into the beanbag opposite of him and Hermione sat in another armchair next to his, also facing the fire.

"So, what'd he want?" He asked

"We've  gotta stay in the muggle world over summer, somethin about house unity," Ron said as he rolled his eyes, clearly not a fan of this arrangement.

"Eh?? What's Dumbledore got you doing that for?"

"What Ronald means to tell you Harry," Hermione chipped in sighing, "is that Professor Dumbledore has decided that Ron and I, and two other students from each house, will be staying together in a Muggle house over the summer to get along better with eachother. He says that the conflict between houses has gone too far recently."

"Recently?? He's being quite hypocritical, is he not? He never cared before," harry replied, his voice even.

Ron gave him a weird look, "whatdyou mean before?"
