This story takes place in the fictional city known as CN City. It follows the life of Kai, the Sheriff. Join him and his friends as they deal with the many strange, dangerous and wacky oddities of the city.
It was the Fourth of July and the citizens of CN City were celebrating with fireworks and parties galore. However, that did not sway those who wished to harm to join in on the festivities. Thankfully, two of the city's tiniest were on the case.
Kai ran across rooftops followed by one of the Teen Titans.

Kai: Mumbo sure picked a heck of a night for a robbery.
Beast Boy: Seriously. What kind of person steals money on the Fourth of July? It's like, like, um, unpatriotic or something.
Kai: Tell that to him, they spot the criminal in question taking a sharp turn into an alley.
The sheriff and Beast Boy jump down into the alley where they cornered him.

Mumbo: You won't be upstaging me this time! Mumbo fired a beam from his wand.
Kai jumps out of the whole Beast Boy turns into an armadillo. Kai then throws some firecrackers at Mumbo, temporarily stunning him. Kai charges at Mumbo, but the tricky magician uses his cape to trap Kai.
Mumbo: Ha ha ha! I do love a captive audience. He said before disappearing. Beast Boy changed into a Tiger and tore the cape apart.
Kai: He's getting away!
Beast Boy: Oh no he ain't. Beast Boy changes into a horse and gestures Kai to get on.
The two ride off in search of Mumbo. They eventually reach city hall. But it seemed they lost the villain. Kai dismounts Beast Boy ands takes a look around. Unbeknownst to him though, Mumbo appeared behind him. Kai looked back and gasped. Mumbo fired a beam at him, sending him crashing into a dumpster. Beast Boy tried to help, but Mumbo caught the hero with an invisible box.
Mumbo: Sorry boys, but it looks like this is your curtain call. He said, ready to finish them off.
???: Oy! Mumbo turned around and was met with a plasma blast. This sent him falling to the ground.
