As the days passed, Becky continued working on Jay's project, unaware of his hidden motives. Jay, however, played his cards carefully, making Becky believe that he had changed and genuinely wanted to revive their childhood friendship. One day, Jay invited Becky to lunch, emphasizing the importance of reconnecting after so many years. Becky, open to the idea of rekindling their past friendship, accepted the invitation without realizing the impact it would have on her relationship with Freen.
Freen, observing the growing connection between Becky and Jay, couldn't shake off the uneasy building within him. He questioned Becky's decision to spend time with Jay, unsure of Jay's true intentions.
Becky, feeling a sense of freedom in rebuilding a friendship, didn't appreciate Freen's skepticism. Their differences in understanding Jay's motives created a subtle wall between them, one that neither of them realized was affecting their relationship.
One evening, after a day of work, Freen and Becky found a quiet moment in the living room to talk.
Freen: "Becky, we need to talk about Jay and what's been going on lately. I've noticed things have been a bit strained between us."
Becky, looking a bit defensive: "Freen, I'm just trying to revive an old friendship with Jay. There's nothing more to it."
Freen, concerned: "I get that, but I can't shake off this feeling that he might have other intentions. I don't want anything to come between us, especially not Jay."
Becky, sighing: "Freen, I've known Jay since childhood. He's been through a lot, and he's changed. I believe people can change, you know?"
Freen, softly: "I trust you, Becky. But I can't ignore my gut feeling. Let's promise to communicate better and be honest about our concerns."
Becky just looked at Freen without saying anything.
Freen had a chance to talk to Jay and made it clear to him that if he does something bad or if he has a bad intentions towards Becky he better think twice.
But Jay did not think twice he told Becky about the confrontation between him and Freen.
Becky did not like what Freen did and confronted her about it.
Inside their room.
Becky, upset: "Freen, what's this about you confronting Jay? He told me you're making him feel unwelcome. What's gotten into you?"
Freen, taken aback: "Becky, I just wanted to set some boundaries. I don't trust his intentions. I didn't mean to upset you."
Becky, frustrated: "Freen, Jay's just trying to be a friend. Why can't you see that? You need to trust me and stop overreacting."
Freen, trying to explain: "I do trust you, Becky. But Jay's actions seem off, and I can't ignore my gut feeling."
Becky, angrily: "Your gut feeling is causing problems in our relationship. I don't want you pushing away my friends. You need to figure this out."
The situation keeps getting out of hand between Becky and Freen. Jay is always the cause of their argument.
Late at night in their bedroom, tension thick in the air.
