"Harry, sweetie. Wake up, love. You'll be late for work." My girlfriend, Marissa says while shaking me. I slowly open my eyes to be greeted by a warm smile. I sigh before sitting up and rubbing my eyes.

"Thanks." I say before shaking my head, in a desperate attempt to rid some of my sleepiness. Marissa and I had a... Wild night last night. I sigh while pushing myself from the comfort of my bed to walk to my closet. I pull on a pair of skinny jeans and a white shirt, before pulling a blazer over it. I walk to the bathroom to brush out my overgrown hair and brush my teeth before pulling a pair of socks on with my brown boots walking out and descending the staircase.

"Do you want something to eat, sweetheart?" She asks. I sigh before shaking my head.

"I don't have time. Thanks love." I say before placing a kiss to her cheek and walking out, and getting in my car.

I sit at my desk, gently spinning my chair while I read files. I was too immersed in the computer to notice that Allison had entered my office.

"Good morning, Mr. Styles. How was your weekend?" She asks, placing a water bottle on my desk, as usual.

"Quite boring. I've never wanted to get back to work more in my life." I chuckled. She joins in before she walks to my printer and taking a few papers from it.

"Mr. Styles wanting to work? What a strange turn of events!" She jokes, before turning on the fax machine.

"I suppose..." I say while clicking my pen repeatedly.

"Has Mr. Horan made an appearance yet?" I ask, lazily glancing at my wall clock.

"I'm not sure. I can go check if you want?" She says, taking the papers from the fax machine and placing them in the filing cabinet. I shake my head.

"That is okay. I will wait. But if he isn't here in 10 minutes, come tell me." I tell her. She nods before walking off. I sigh before burying myself in my work. A small knock startles me. After I collect myself, I chuckle softly at my behavior.

"Come in." I say. Niall slowly enters with a backpack slung over his shoulders. He's wearing gray joggers and a black jumper, and white supras cover his feet.

"Hi Mr. Styles. I'm sorry for being late, I was at school." He rushes before sitting on the same chair as the last time we met.

"Mm, that's alright." I say, before closing the tabs on my computer and turning off the monitor.

"Okay, so, what do I do?" He says, removing his backpack and sitting it down next to him. I furrow my eyebrows at him.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Well, what do interns do?" He says, propping his head on his hands.

"They do things that employees do. Except, without pay, of course." I explain. His eyes widen.

"Wait, so I don't get paid?"

"Nope." I say, popping the p.

"So you're saying I come here every weekday and bust my ass 'working' for free when I could go out and find an actual job that pays actual money?" He rants. I chuckle before leaning closer to him from across my desk.

"Mr. Horan, you won't be able to find a decent, actual job that pays actual money if you don't receive an actual high school diploma." I say. He huffs before folding his arms and sitting back in his chair.

"So today, you won't be doing much. I guess today is just a learning day. Then when you get a hand of it, you'll start for real. Are you ready, Mr. Horan?" I explain. He looks around and sighs.

"Yes, sir." He mumbles. I flash him a toothy grin before standing from my seat and gesturing for him to do the same.

"Well, let's go, shall we?"
