I woke up tired and extremely uneasy. I felt like it wasn't going to be a normal day. truly, I didn't even feel like I was on planet earth.

well... I wasn't.

I squinted my eyes as I tried to adjust them from the heavy sunlight that was darkening my dark skin. Normally their would be a roof over my head and a pillow under it, but for some reason, I had sand as a pillow and the sun for a roof.

I got up from the ground and sat up straight. My eyes where squinted and the blurry sun was the only thing in my sight. There was soft chatter behind me, but I couldn't make of what was being said. I got up from the floor and stood up. I cleared the sand of my hands before I gently yet aggressively peeled my eyes open, as they had seemed to be sealed with dry tears.

I took a few blinks and I was adjusted. my jaw dropped. "Wha-?" I questioned as I stared at the only thing in my sight. sand, and only sand.

I was in a dessert. 'why am I in a dessert?' only one of the few questions that rang inside my head.

"Dante, you okay?" A strangely familiar male voice started.

I turned around slowly and saw a light skinned male, with light brown hair, dark brown eyes and an oval shaped head. I looked at him in confusion as he looked calm, like he didn't see the big body of sand that surrounded us. He put his hand on my shoulder and asked again, if I was okay. I slid his hand off and tilted my head to the side, looking at the other two people behind him, who looked as calm as he was.

I took two steps back and lifted both my hands up to the height of my ears. "Um' I can't be the only one who is seeing an orange filter in every single direction!" I yelled with a sarcastic chuckle. Pure shock was filled in my eyes.

"I think he's lost it again," a blonde female with a muddied white shirt, and brown pants. Exclaimed in a disappointed manner, as if what ever she had just said, made any sense.

I shook my head a little. "You think I have lost it?" I asked while stumping my feet in anger. "Well I'm not the one who kidnaps people and takes them to god damn Egypt!"

The blondes started laughing, but one male stayed quiet, he was dark skinned and had this intimadating poker face.

"we not in Egypt, Dante," dark skinned male said. He had his hands on his waists, his facial expression was giving so much anger.

"Yes then Namibia makes a difference" I said sarcastically.

"Not in Namibia either."

"Sudan then changes the whole situation, doesn't it?"

"No! We not anywhere, Dante, we not anywhere-on-earth!" He exclaimed in a loud manner. "You can clearly see that Lucas and Grace really do not care about the situation we in, but I do, I really do, so if you could please help us kill the Goliath, I will give you the whole world."

I had stood frozen and confused in what I had just heard, *not on earth* honestly I felt like laughing, but I couldn't help notice that my lifes fate was depended on these people.

I let out a little chuckle before looking at (supposed) lucas and Grace who had been staring at dark skinned male. "You guys aren't getting away with this," I started. Everybody then looked at me with confusion. "When the cops get here, you guys are dead."

Disappointment struck once again.

Lucas walked towards me and put his hands on my shoulders. "Dante, you haven't been kidnapped, and if you were to be kidnapped, this gang you shouting at, would be the one's to save you." He stated. I hadn't noticed before, but he had sometype of accent.

I removed his hands from my shoulders and took two steps back. "So, let me guess Mr. Lucas." I said with a fake smile. "The savage guy is going to be the one to kidnap me. And let's change the subject, how do you guys know my name?"

Dark skinned male was in so much distress, his head dropped down and he slightly kicked the sand, in either anger or even more disappointment.

Everyone was quiet." can you please explain something to m-?"

"-Ooh please!" Grace interrupted before running my direction and tackling me to the ground. I stared at her green eyes not paying attention to her wet hair pressing on my neck, we had a little moment there but it didn't last long. she put her dirty fingers over my mouth and I wasn't sure when the last time she had washed them was. I uncomfortablely squinted my face in disgust.

"Listen to me Dante, we where pulled into a portal that lead us here, a place where we can jump into different regions and this specific place is the safest." She shouted making her saliva fly all over my face. "We all here have powers and we can make portals of our own, but your different, your alot stronger then us making you wanted by the savage Goliath who wants your powers.

I nodded and put my elbow on Grace's neck. "Oh my, I truly believe you now." I stated before taking Grace of my body. "Trust me I believe you cause this all makes so much sense," lucas and the dark skinned shook there heads, they knew what I was doing. I froze and looked at them one last time before making a run for it.

My feet burying in to the hot sand and my back getting cooked buy intense heat was never a problem till the day I was being chased by kidnappers.

I was running towards the same thing that surrounded me, sand, but no progress was being made. I kept on going, but I felt like I was on a treadmill. I stopped running and stood with my hands on my waist. Tired and burned i sighed and dropped my head down, my eyes went wide, the sand below me was moving in a way it wasn't supposed too. I turned around and saw Grace wiggling her fingers towards herself. I couldn't believe it, she was pulling with telepathy.

I tried to pull myself backwards, but no hope was found. "Its called powers Dante, it's called powers," lucas whispered as he was only a few feet away from me.

Finally she stopped pulling me and they all stared, waiting for an answer to a question that we all knew. *do you believe us now?*...
