2. Edward Cullen

I wake up because of the agonising pain that I am in.

wait- does this mean I am not dead?

I don't really acre about anything apart from my wrist right now. actually no, my whole body feels like its on fire. The pain hits me and I let out a scream.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING TO ME" I shout through my screams.

What I did not expect, was an answer.

"It is all going to be okay, the pain will stop soon." The man said as he placed is stone cold hand on my cheek to try and calm me down.

I took a deep breath and tried to endure the pain so I could talk.

"wh- who are you?" I ask.

"Why don't we do introductions when you are more conscious" he said calmly as he carried me in the bridal position out of the car and into a house surrounded by green and wildlife.

I don't remember anything after that. I don't really hurt anymore, I'm just so thirsty. And cold. But I don't feel uncomfortable like I normally am when I am cold, I feel the most comfortable I have for a long time. Yet also so sad.

I was about to get up when he walks in.

"You're finally awake! how are you feeling?"

"I feel very thirsty... I still don't know who you are"

"Right, my name is Edward Cullen. I saved your life. You're welcome."

"Okay... What exactly did you save me from?" I ask

"Okay so you were almost killed by vampires but something distracted them before I got there and took you so that you didn't become one of them"

"So i'm not a Vampire?"

"No you are now... I tried to save you but it was too late, the venom got to your heart." He looks down as if he has murdered me.

"Are you a vampire?" I am surprisingly not that scared. Must be some sort of vampire thing.

"yes."

"okay then, one more question... how are you different to Aro and that lot? If you are both vampires I mean.

"well, my family, you will meet them once I have taught you our way of living, we live differently. As you would have guessed our way of surviving is to drink blood, most of our kind choose the blood of humans. however my family don't like to kill, so we hunt in other ways, for animals. Normally bears."

"oh so you're the good vampires then I guess."

"Yes, we like to call ourselves 'vegetarian' as a joke."

"Right, and I am part of your family now?"

"I suppose so... it depends how your training goes."

"When you say training... do you mean... killing?"

"killing, not revealing our kind and most importantly keeping humans safe."

"Sounds simple enough."

"It's harder than it sounds... when you first smell a human, or taste their blood. A sort of frenzy begins, and you will go to any lengths just to kill. That's why we live here."

Great. I'm a bloodsucking monster and can't have the blood it wants. (not that I want to kill humans.)

"I'm extremely thirsty Edward. Can we start training now..."

he laughs a little. "yes yes, Alice thinks it should be fine"

"Who is Alice?"

"You will meet her soon"

I nod my head and stand up, "where's the door to this place?"

He looks at me and grins

"What. What's that look for"

"What look? Nothing." He replies

I open the window as I am feeling impatient and I smell only the best thing that I have ever smelled in my life. It's not something I could describe but I know it's good.

"What is that amazing smell?" I ask him

"Shit."

"What?"

"Close the fucking window. Now."

I follow his orders.

"Why? What was it"

"It was a human. I can hear his thoughts from here."

I just act like I understood what he just said and then I thought back to when he said that newborns go crazy after they taste human blood.

"Shit. Does that mean I can't go and find something to hunt? Im so thirsty..."
I start to feel weird. The smell is so good it's like I can't get enough of it.

I start to shake.

"Fuck" Edward says as he sees what I am experiencing

He quickly grabs me and carries me as he jumps out of the window and deep into the forest so fast like the speed of light. I realise that I feel so strong now I can just escape his grasp. I jump out of his arms and start running, I can't believe how fast I am going and it's so great. It's the best feeling I have ever felt.

I see a bear off in the distance and I decide that it is going to be my victim. I run behind it and jump onto its back while sinking my teeth into its tough neck as I taste it's blood for the first time.

It's so good, but not quite yet fulfilling. Like it's missing something.

As soon as I am done I feel better and I look for Edward who is ironically stood right in front of me.

He is laughing so much that I can't tell if he is actually being serious.

"What! Edward stop laughing!"

"Ahha ohh to be young again"

"What do you mean! I'm 18 I'm not that young"

"I mean to be a newborn! You murdered that bear so fast that it was like you couldn't live without it but here's the good thing... your eyes are golden like mine now, see?" He shows me a glass mirror and I see the beauty in my eyes.

"You won't be so tempted now... we should go back and you can meet the others."

I agree and we run off back to the house.
