After death (Edward Cullen X oc)

3. The Cullens

Me and Edward race back to the house to test my speed, turns out vampires are really fast. Edward was ahead of me but not by much. I watched everything speed past me as I slide through the trees with ease. 

We get into the house and there stands six beautiful vampires, looking at me intensely - and basically ignoring Edward, even though I was sure he was the most beautiful one in the room. 

"are we keeping her?" a big muscly one says from the corner of the room with a huge grin on his face. 

"Yes, if you don't mind Carlisle" Edward looks at another one, who seems to be their leader. 

I feel really stupid stood next to all of them. 

"Are you going to introduce us or what?" A girl asks 

"yes." says Edward, "Everybody, this is Sidra, Sidra, this is Emmet, Rosalie, Jasper, Alice, Carlisle and Esme. We are the Cullen's." 

"It's lovely to meet you Sidra, I'm sure you will love it here." Esme says to me. 

"she will." A girl in the corner says, "hi, I'm Alice... your new best friend. I can see that we are going to be super close!"

"I'm sorry, what do you mean?" I ask

"I can see the future, although it can change. we all have gifts! Edward and read thoughts, Emmet is like really strong and Jasper can change the mood of the room. quite an emotional gift in my opinion." 

"That's pretty cool, do I have a gift?"

"It normally develops over time. I'm sure you will eventually" 

Alice seems really nice, I do think she will probably be the one I decide to favour... apart from maybe Edward, he was the one who saved me- sort of. 

"Come on you, your training isn't done. Let's be on our way." Edward says from behind me. 

"Okay"

we walk out of the room and I wonder if he can actually read my thoughts. 

"I can you know..." 

"what? you can what"

"I can read your thoughts, I did it just then. Don't worry, I am pretty good at blocking them out and focusing on my own"

"Well that's a relief, some of my thoughts are private ya know."

 we laugh a little even though I don't think it was that funny, I definitely meant it. 

"come on, you don't have much training left. you did pretty well at not murdering the human when you smelled it. And you were pretty good at tracking down that bear" 

"wow, never thought I'd make a good vampire"

we walk down the hallway into a very well-lit room that was completely empty, the walls were completely white and looked shiny-new as if everything had just been dusted three times over. Out of the window, that took the place of a whole wall, was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, I can just imagine myself listening to music while staring into those trees glimmering from the rain, not a care in sight. The room smelled like a freshly opened book. This brought a smile to my stone hard face, he saw that I was enjoying myself and he stood in front of me, blocking my sight of the beautiful room, although my smile didn't fade. 

He looks at me for a long second and then whispers, "It's yours. Do whatever you want with it." 

The smile on my face grows wider and I start thinking of the endless possibilities of the room layouts I can do seeing as I wont be needing a bed to take up the space.
