❝ 𝗐𝗁𝗈 𝖺𝗋𝖾 𝗉𝖺𝗆𝖾𝗅𝖺 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖾𝗅𝗌𝗉𝖾𝗍𝗁? ❞I'D BEEN LIVING IN FUCKING BLISS for the past few days. Felix and I were finally together, and I could not be happier.
There was a slight problem, though. Being that, for the past few days, Oliver and Felix hadn't spoken — like at all. I'd messaged Ollie a couple of times, spoken to him in our tutorials, but I hadn't really hung out with him. I knew it wasn't the end of our little trio-friendship, I'm sure Felix would come around soon and finally get in contact with Oliver, or vice-versa.
Currently, I was sat reading in Felix's dorm, as he studied for our upcoming exams. I'd studied for a couple hours earlier in the morning and decided to finally relax after days of endless revision — and shagging Felix, too, but that's beside the point. Felix had started his revision for the day about half an ago when I'd practically forced him into it, he has his first exam tomorrow — he needs to do some revision today, even if it's just a little bit.
I took my eyes off of my book for a few seconds, — minutes — watching and admiring as Felix's eyebrows knitted in concentration as he studied intensely. He occasionally ran his hands through his hair with a sigh, or took his fag out of his lips to let out a deep breath of smoke.
He was scribbling on a piece of paper, when there was a knock at the door. Felix stood up from his desk and moved toward the door before I could even offer to do so.
My eyes found their way back to the book in my lap, I had presumed it was just one of our friends inviting us to the pub at the ripe hour of eleven in the morning — wouldn't be the first time they'd ask. Felix would probably accept for the both of us, despite it being eleven in the morning — wouldn't be the first time we'd accepted.
As he opened the door, the sound of sniffling and deep breaths echoed through the dorm. I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked up in confusion. I couldn't see from my position who was at the door.
"Ollie, what's happened?" Felix asked, his voice solemn sounding. My heart dropped after a few seconds, Oliver hadn't responded, something bad must've happened. "Hey, come here."
"My dad's died," his words were muffled against Felix's shoulder; I could see them now, Oliver having moved closer to hug Felix.
Oliver walked into Felix's room, falling to the floor quickly, looking completely distraught. I got up from the bed, as Felix took a seat on the space on the floor opposite Oliver. I joined them on the floor, so we were in a sort-of triangle formation.
"How'd it happen?" Felix asked, quietly.
"Cracked his head on the pavement," Ollie answered simply, his voice holding very little emotion. "Probably drunk, knowing dad. Or off his tits."
"Fucking hell," Felix mumbled to himself, looking down at his lap. "Jesus, I'm- I'm so sorry, Ollie, that's-"
"It's just a shock," Ollie mumbled. I don't know if it was the shock of what had happened, but Olivier did not seem like he was entirely bothered with the fact his dad had died, he just seemed a bit shaken up.
"Is your mum alright?" I asked.
"She was completely incoherent-" Oliver spoke, pausing for a second. My heart broke for the poor woman — my dad was the same way after my mum. Though I felt less heartbroken as Ollie continued to speak, "-which is pretty normal for her."
