Introduction

Ruth Jura was an anomaly among the Jedi Order. Not only was she exceptionally skilled in combat with her cyan-hued lightsaber, but her deep connection to the force gave her abilities that the council couldn't dream of existing. Along with this came an unbreakable force-bond with her best friend and fellow padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi. With these skills and Master Qui-Gon's training under their belts, they face the galaxy and the perils that abide in it. And, one might say that attachment was evident.

Ruth stopped in the hall, feeling horrible anguish throughout the force. Someone was dying. Rounding the corner, she noticed the body on the floor. No. No. It couldn't be. Their master couldn't die...
But it was too late. When Ruth was let through, she could feel her fellow padawan's cries ripping through her. Kneeling down next to Kenobi, her heart shattered. What she'd thought would be the worst day of her life had come.
