The Dark Witch: Agent Parker

Chapter 1

"Director" I stated over the intercom, " I think you should take a look at the tesseract immediately"

"Copy"

"You know you could just teleport to him" Clint jokes.

"Shut up" I stated giving him a light smack on his arm.

I was sat up in the "nest" with Clint. Every time I come to this base it makes me quite unsteady, I constantly feel like something will happen and whatever it is, is evil. The "nest" makes me some what more relaxed.

It takes a while, but eventually, Fury shows up.

"Talk to me doctor" Fury says to Dr. Selvig as he enters the lab.

"Director"

"Is there anything we know for certain"

"The tesseract is misbehaving"

"Is that supposed to be funny"

"No it's not funny at all. The tesseract is not only active, she's misbehaving"

"I assume you pulled the plug"

"She's an energy source. We turn off the power she turns it back on. If she reaches peak level..."

"We prepared for this, Doctor. Harnessing energy from space"

"But we don't have the harness. My calculations are far from complete. And she's throwing off interference, radiation. Nothing harmful, low levels of gamma radiation"

"That can be harmful"

"Where's Agent Barton and Parker"

"The Hark and Witch? Up in their nest as usual"

"Agent Barton, Agent Parker, report"

Clint slides down his rope, meanwhile I gently floated down to the ground, my eyes turning into a fiery black and a smokey black forming around my hands.

"Have you seen anything that might've set this off " Fury asked.

"No one has come or gone. And Selvage is clean. No contacts, no IM's. If there was any tampering, it wasn't at this end" I stated.

"At this end" Fury quoted.

"I check his head daily" I said "The cube is a doorway to the other end of space. Doors open from both sides"

Just then, the tesseract began to shake the place. The unsteadiness gave me a stinging sensation all throughout my body and a pounding in my head.

The tesseract then opened a portal, leaving a tall dark haired man. The man slowly raised his head, a creepy smirk plastered on his face, as agents are slowly walking up to him guns raised ready to fire. His eyes glance at mine for moment.

"Sir please put down the spear" Fury yells at the man.

The man looks down at his spear and fires it towards Fury, but Clint pushes him out of the way. However, the blast hits me instead and sends me flying to the wall. I struggled to get up as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents fired at him, but the man stabs one agent with his spear, then throws two daggers towards the other agents.

I finally planted my two feet on the ground after struggling to stand up and mustered up all of my strength to create a ball around the man so he couldn't move to attack. He watched as I walked, more like stumbled, to him.

"Magic" he questioned.

"Yes, dark magic" I said making the ball smaller, eventually bringing him to his knees. He chuckles, but easily broke free and sent me flying to the wall again. He fired his spear at the computers, stabs another agent, and as Clint, Fury and some other agents are firing at him, he makes a shield out of the spear and fires back at them. He then stops, looking around the room, his breathing becoming shorter. Clint gets up and and is about to punch the man, but he grabs Clint and pins him against the bars.

"You have heart" the man stated, before bringing the tip of his spear and tapping Clint's heart with it, causing Clint's eyes to go black for a moment and then they became a crystal blue colour, like the tesseract.

I watched as Fury grabbed the tesseract and put it in a box, and then closed it tightly.

"Please don't. I still need that" he stated as he turns to two agents.

"This doesn't have to get any messier" Fury said as I began to regain strength.

"Of course it does. I've come too far for anything else. I am Loki, of Asgard. And I am burdened with glorious purpose"

"Loki, brother of Thor" Selvig states, causing Loki to grow angrier.

"We have no quarrel with your people" Fury stated putting his hands up to show no means of harm.

"An ant has no quarrel with a boot" Loki remarked.

"Are you planning to step in us" I chuckled.

"Maybe not you darling" he stated with a grin "I come with glad tidings of a world made free"

"Free from what" Fury questioned.

"Freedom. Freedom is life's great lie. Once you accept that, in your heart, you will know peace" Loki states as he turns to Selvig.

"Yeah you say peace, I kind of think you mean the other thing"

"Sir, Director Fury and Agent Parker are stalling. This place is about to blow, and drop a hundred feet of rock on us. Their means are to bury us" Clint informed his new boss.

"Like the pharaohs of old" Fury states.

"He's right. The portal is collapsing in on itself. We've got maybe two minutes before this thing goes critical" Eric tells Loki from his computers.

"Well then" Loki looks to Clint.

"Barton..." I began to say before Clint fires a bullet at Fury and two towards me. Luckily, I deflect the bullets using my powers and help Fury up from next to me.

"Agent Hill" I shouted down the intercom "Do you copy? Agent Barton has turned!"

"They have the tesseract, shut them down" Fury shouted down his.

We made it in time to the chopper and chased Loki down. We flew over the stolen vehicle and Fury started shooting at the vehicle. Meanwhile, I made black fireballs and shot them at the same vehicle. However, Loki fired his sceptre, and at the last minute, me and Fury both jumped out of the flaming helicopter before it crashed to the ground.

"Director Fury do you copy" Coulson asked.

"The tesseract is with hostile force. I have men down. Hill"

"A lot of men still under. I don't know how many survivors" Maria states.

"Sound a general call. I want every living soul not working rescue looking for that briefcase"

"Copy that"

"Coulson get back to base. This is a level 7. As of right now, we are at war"

"Agent Parker, call home and tell them you won't be making it home tonight or for a long while"

"Yes Sir"
