A few weeks have passed. I've definitely settled back in now, all attention is gone.
I'm on the HMS Pogue with John B and Kiara, Pope was working with his dad and surprisingly JJ decided to help too. Earlier that week we had discovered a sunken boat after a storm and well John B was hooked. I can't lie. We all are, but I just don't know if we're the right kind of people to be poking into this. But John B has assured us that the adventurous instincts we each have will shine on through with some time. After a few days of thinking Pope and JJ, well JJ I think was on board with it from the beginning but Pope agreed to tag along with John B.
Me and Kiara on the other hand were a little more sceptical. Hence why were here right now. Following the tracks back to where the boat was to try convince me and Kiara.I lean over the side of the boat to try and see the boat. The water is brown and muddy from the storm so a resort back to listening to John B's gibberish.
"Look, this is a start. We could find the gold my dads been looking for." Kiara and I glance at each other. "I just feel like this will be the beginning of the adventure he was longing for."
Kiara speaks up. "Right. Well if this is true a simple ship wreck isn't going to open up doorways to pieces of gold. If so it would've been found already."
"Yeah and we will find those doorways and open them step by step." He looks between me and Kiara. "I know you guys are kooks and don't want to get your hands dirty-"
I cough. "Excuse me. I will get my hands dirty."
Kiara pokes his side and he stumbles back. "If we were kook princesses I don't even think we would be here with you right now." A smirk appears on my lips as I help John B up.
Before I could contemplate anything John B had used the hand he had grip of to pull my other hand towards himself too, my feet then slid to the side of the boat. "John B! What are you doing?"Splash
Brilliant. In the water I was. The muddy water. As I emerge I see him attempt to push Kiara in but she turns all serious on him. I chuckle as I watch him scurry away from her.
"Don't mind your hands being dirty Oli?" He laughs. I splash water at him before realising how cold I actually was becoming, it was verging on dusk and it wasn't a particularly warm day either.
"Its not funny John B!" I hide my shivery giggle.
"Olive!" I turn as I hear my name being called from behind me. Its Sarah, shes running across her deck towards me and the boat. "Your lips are purple." She notices as she reaches the end of her deck. "Get out and come to mine, Rose has almost made dinner, that will warm you up."
I turn to Kiara and John B they both nod. "Don't worry Oli, I'm sure Sarah will come up with a better revenge plan then you would." John B smirks, I shake my head at him before swimming towards Sarah. She puts her hand out for me, when my hand touches hers its like an immediate ember fire against a frosty icicle.
Sarah pulls me up and onto the deck. Before we continue our trek inside I turn back to wave goodbye. Apart of me feels bad for leaving them. But I'm sure I would have died from hypothermia if I stayed in that water or on the boat in my dripping wet clothes until we got back to John B's.I can hear my brown converse squelch as we walk towards Tannyhill. I was in a pair of light blue denim shorts with a turquoise bikini top on, a matching shirt was unbuttoned over the top. Now all drenched.
I wait outside the back door whilst Sarah runs inside to grab me a towel so I don't drip water all over her house. I lean against the white wall with my hands around my torso to keep me warm. My body physically shaking.
The sun is setting, a spectrum of golden light surrounds me. I feel it on my face as my eyes close.
Oh I love the summer.I hear a scoff from above me. "Oh look, Its an Olive." I look up to see Rafe on his balcony looking at me. Soon after Wheezie runs over and looks down. She waves at me and I wave back.
